Obama just GAVE Chrysler to the UAW. While retaining a significant ownership for the Feds. All while kicking out the last remaining private owners. He forced the Fiat buy onto Chrysler specifically because he wants them to build tiny cars.

This is an unbelievable thing to watch. He's literally taking long term ownership stakes in these companies right before our eyes. Then he goes on TV and says he has no interest in doing what he just did.

Watch what the man does and stop listening to what he says ...

Wake up and smell the coffee folks.

He didn't force Fiat ... he forced Chrysler.

The WSJ has a big front page article on it today with a big pie chart in color and everything!

Headline:

"CHRYSLER PUSHED INTO FIAT'S ARMS"

read the paper (preferably a good one) ... you'll learn something

If the corvette dies then we got bigger problems than just losing another car in a lineup. Because we have lost GM for good. Corvette sales have been an early warning system for the economy for years. When vette sales fall, the economy usually goes with it. And if the corvette ceased to exist, then the economy is probably a few weeks away from going to hell in a handcart.

Good thing the vette is going nowhere, and it is business as usual with them...And I hope it stays that way..forever!

I believe it was Scott who said something akin to this...

"MY GOD THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH MISINFORMATION OUT THERE."

And to a certain member...

Evidently you don't really know what you're talking about.

Did the article discuss how Chrysler has tried to form alliances with Nissan, GM, Volkswagon, Tata, Magna, GAZ, Hyundai, Honda, and Toyota and failed. Or that FIAT and Chrysler were talking about bringing the 500 to the US in March 2008 and have been analyzing a partnership since last summer. Sounds to me like they were looking for somebody and FIAT was the only one willing.

The below article does a good of referencing the quotes from the affidavit of Tom LaSorda that was filed for the bankruptcy.

http://www.detnews.com/article/20090...414/1148/rss25

And for anyone else that is curious the article that dkb references is

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124109550079373043.html
