oh what to do?
Thought i would ask yalls opinion. Take money out of the equation. which would you rather have a Camaro 2SS/RS with 21" rims lowered 1 inch and a dove tail spoiler or a new 2009 Z06 corvette with 7 miles on it. Yes i am serious......( i eliminated the GT-R when i found out they dont make a manual transmission)

If money and practicality are not concerns, I think you'll regret getting the Camaro more than you would the Z06.

well if you want your car on time go corvette cause at this rate all us people who ordered probably wont see shit till 2010. gm is ****ing them selves on this camaro. many people got tired of there bullshit and bought other vehicle's that were not gm. at least you plan on still giving them your money.

Everytime you floor the Camaro you would be thinking "I wonder what that LS7 would have felt like right now?"

You can easily get the Camaro later on, if you even want to after it becomes more mainstream. The Z06 will always be out of reach for the masses.

If you take away the money aspect and even take away the hp debate. (Cause lets face it, nowadays you can make as much power as you want). And also with the Camaro having IRS, its handling package can be upgraded to world class levels. I think when it comes down to it, youre really choosing between a two seat sports car and a traditional pony muscle car coupe. And I think those are two big differences. Traditionally, when I think of the muscle car era, I think of Chevelle, Camaros, Novas, Challengers, Road Runners, Mustangs, to name a few. The Corvette in my mind was always first thought of Americas answer to the likes of Jaguar, Alfa Romero, Ferrari, Mercedes, etc. As they were interred in races like 24 hours of Le Mans, 12 hours of Sebring, American Le Mans Series, etc. So I think you should make your decision on what style or type of car you want to drive. IMO, the Camaro has that "Muscle Car" feeling, the Corvette does not.

I guess that just depends on what you like about each car.
If the performance is what thrills you, then go for the Z06. If it is having a "rare" car from the public aspect, it's a toss up to me. Just keep in mind that your average joe can't tell the difference between a base and a ZO6. For me, it is about the styling and engineering. The performance just adds a bonus thrill. I like the Vette's styling, but IMHO, it has lost it's American idenity. It looks very Italian-esque. This new generation of pony cars, with the Camaro as King, has American written all over them and has sparked a new interest in cars for me. In short, I love the Camaro because it appeals to me. I don't care if there was one on every street corner, it is still the best looking car on the affordable market (and that includes the Vette in my book). .

they dont make the gt-r with a manual?!?!?!?!
![]() unless you need the backseats...go with the vette...it depends on what your gonna be using the car for....in my opinion if i could afford the vette i would get something else...like a bmw m3 fully loaded...i woulda got the gt-r like you were gonna but i didnt know they didnt come stick...thats just weird...are you sure about that?

Drives a Maro

Seriously? Really? The Camaro is really cool but come on now. The Vette is better unless you're just hooked on Camaro like most of us are. I don't need a car, I am not in the market for a car but it's the new Camaro so I have to buy it.
But unless you're just like me, get the Vette.

Being a C5 owner, it's no brainer...I would go with the '09 Z06...though I do love the Camaro's "new" retro look...

Depends on your wants and needs. I mean for me it would be a no brainer, Z06 all the way. But for you it's obviously not a no brainer since you didn't just snap to that decision like I would. So you must be looking to balance practicality (back seat) or price with performance. Don't get the Camaro because you think it will be unique or rare- it won't be. Remember these cars start under 25k. Z06 = rare

I thought this year's GTR added a manual transmission as an option? I know the first year was automatic only but I'm pretty sure the 2010s can have 6 speeds
