When I worked for Oceaneering onthe boats right after Katrina hit, we were typically working 56 and 14... and the 14 got shortened to 5 or 6...

It was real short in some ways.... I'm curious to see how things are on the rig since the rig tried to become a submarine.... It's fine as far as I know, but I still don know if the stack is in the water or not... As of ten days ago it wasn't....

I'm loving my 14/14 rotation from the office.

One more week to go and I'm off for 2 weeks...

Kissed by Mother Carey: This is another way of saying, "Once a sailor, always a sailor." It is an old superstition that all boys who go to sea were kissed in their infancy by the sailorman's guardian angel Mata Cara (Mother Carey).

Hey All,

I'm here... My shop is a disaster, and there is lots to be done but we'll handle up on it...

I'm waiting to hear from Corey about whom I need to contact to purchase a transmission for Brandi....

We had a little discussion about it when I dropped her off Sunday afternoon.

The preliminary thoughts are a 6060 built with the SFI steel bellhousing, the mid plate, 9310 gears and shafts throughout and the TR56 gear ratios.

This is a taller first gear so it will allow us to stretch her out a little off the line without having to immediately shift... and should help with spinning off the line.

What did I miss? Is your OE gearbox trashed?

You really don't need 6 forward gears anymore

After discussion with two high level transmission companies, we have come to the conclusion that either the (most likely) the bell housing is bent or (less likely) the case is bent. Regardless, I'm not having any remaining part or portion of that trans left in my car... So, we talked to two different vendors and will have a BUILT TR6060 with the steel SFI rated bell housing and the midplate, as well as all the good parts within it...

RSG, Rockland Standard Gear and RKT56 are discussing it and we are waiting on a reply from one or the other to proceed...
