Thanks for the heads up Flyman, hopefully Eric will hit me up when he's back home.
i did get a zforce and 1st one fit perfect, also have pedders , but did not check the coilovers, had issue with supercharger pulley..sold the 1st one to my buddy, eric is making me a 2nd hood and moving the air plenum closer to front of hood to allow more room for pulley ...will have to check the shock covers as these were not on and never thought about the coilovers hitting...

Or.... can we buy the rubber fitting if we buy from somewhere else cheaper? I see some venders have like $40 off and things for these exact intakes.
The main thing, like you said,is you get what you pay for. Never had a V6, but I've always used K&N filter and intakes with great results on all my previous cars/trucks. For my SS I went with the CAI intake because it's the best one out there and delivers the highest numbers.

Don't skimp and buy junk, just save up and buy the best.

I have the Maggie TVS 2300, and luckily no issues with my pulleys, your KB must be a bit different. Hopefully, like I said when Eric gets back & checks in he can do something for you so you don't have the issue I'm having since your hood is still in production.

kb just barely rub the curved edge, but am going whipple now and it sits 11 plus inches compared to the kb at 9inches...also using a 102mm throttle body, that was why we moved the ram plenum forward 2-3 inches...just a precaution..

I had to grind down the top of my rotofab air intake to get the hood to fit. Otherwise the hood would stick up in that area. After that the rotofab and hood seat perfectly now.

No other fitment issues not even with my BMR strut bar.

I am probably going to go ahead and get the CAI brand one to make it easier for me. Probably be able to buy it in a month or so. Getting a back pay for work I've done so I should have enough for it with that check then probably get it powder coated black haven't decided yet. I wish the filter was blue to match my car black and blue.

That's my plan as well. It's a functional hood built around the CAI in a way so might as well.

Thanks guys, too bad the slot wasn't functional. But this was something I was excited to do, and the body shop was more than willing to tackle the task.

We used the SLP Mailslot delete to start, I will find out the exact epoxy used and post it up. It's imperative that the grille stay in during the procedure to elevate the top part of bumper drooping...We learned that after several attempts. I'll have product brand by Monday.

Hey Eric, I didn't want to PM you hoping you check this every once in a while. Any update on the hood? I'm sure you're swamped but figured I'd ask.

Yeah right now Eric is swamped with hood orders. Believe me I have assisted in the building of a hood and have seen the whole process. He deserves every penny he makes on these hoods it is not an easy task. What looks easy when he does it is really hard when I helped do it. The man knows how to work the fiber is all I can say.

Hey Eric any recommendation on putting some sort of rubber around the ram air opening on the underside of the hood, the part that sits over air box ?

If you buy the CAI intake from him, it comes with a rubber "gasket" or grommet around the CAI lid which slides into or around the perimeter of the hole.

You can always do this yourself too with some rubber weather stripping etc. Get the bigger one inch size, Eric can tell you what he uses exactly though.

Thanks Summone, I have the CAI intake with the clear plexiglass lid & I was thinking of taking off the lid so because the ram extract is right over it. Hopefully Eric can chime in about what he uses, but I know he's a busy dude

I find it funny how many people miss the R at the end of my user name,

SUMMONER or SummoneR as I type it. no worries, it happens a lot.

Yeah I was thinking they make a car door trim I used for my 1973 Blazer, it had a strip that clipped over the edge of the door sheet metal, I bet that would work to wrap around the opening. But yeah hopefully Eric will chime in soon for you.

SoRRy about the R, just being short, was going to say thanks Summ
I know what you're talking about, K&N gives it to you with their kits. It had the channel to fit right around the box and then seal the hood. Guess time to check the parts store or even the K&N site?
