I want a tune but am not sure if I should get it yet

I have a 2011 ss auto and im looking around for the best tune for the money. My friend was telling me about diablo tunes. How would you say those are? And also my car is 100% stock right now but I plan on doing cai intake, borla cat-back, and a throttle body. I know these are very minor mods so does it matter to get the tune after? Also how are these things going to affect my warranty. Any response is much appreciated. Thanks

Check out Jannetty Racing. He'll sell you the SCT tuner and do a custom tune for free. Handheld tuners with "canned" tunes may not be the best, but his isn't "canned." It's customized for your setup, and if you do a search on here, there are literally tons of satisfied drivers.

If you tune, your powertrain warranty is likely gone. Technically, they have to show that your mod (a tune in this case) actually caused the problem, but good luck going up against all their lawyers.

Get headers. I just tuned my car and it's AMAZING. I have headers cai and exhaust. I was a little scared after I tuned it but now I'm glad I did. I wouldn't worry too much about your warranty. I still can't get to the redline.

I know what you mean, I am not even to the first oil change but want the dod, afm whatever you want to call it gone! But I want to make sure there isn't anything wrong with the car before giving up the warranty....

If you are only getting a CAI, exhaust, and TB then I wouldn't bother getting a tune (unless your an Auto - then I highly recommend one regardless of your mods). No need to void your warranty before you need to.

Sounds fair to me. To the OP, Ted has tuned something like 700+ Camaros (right, Ted?). I think that amount of experience speaks for itself. Scour the forums and I bet you can't find any negative comments about the SCT tune.

Custom tune on the road or dyno, i usually do my cars on the road because it is real life scenario, air drag, road friction ect...
And get a runner that's knows what the heck they are doing, tune is the last place where mistakes need to happen they can mean your engine

Just did my headers and Jannetty tune last week. Could not be happier! Annoying AFM gone. Shifts are quicker but not harsh. Everything about the car just feels right.
