Front and rear rotors installed with new hawk pads. Time to get the exhaust back up and in and then for a short drive to seat the new pads. Will be tuning the meth kit tomorrow.

The American Auto-X series starts in March or early April. I my do some SCCS slush runs or UFO if they are running down in Marina. I'm not tuning the meth in for horsepower just yet, only going for cooling and more octane at this time. They claim you can get up to another 80 horses tuning in meth, I don't know how accurate that statement is?

Happy New Years to everyone, the car is safe in the garage with almost 17,000 miles on her. For the first time, I have no mods waiting in the garage that need to be installed!

Nice work on your car. Is the front bumper hard to get off for the tow hook?

Not hard at all, just check out the DIY thread located at http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112831

I highly recommend that you purchase a medium sized trim removal tool to get the snap plugs out. I'm going to take a picture of mine and post it on the thread above later.

Hey Steve, did your passenger side bumper not fit all the way? the side marker looks popped out? also for the tow hook did you have to cut into the grill at all?

I did notice that after i posted the picture. It fit with no issues, went on a lot easier then that time we were trying to get yours on. I broke one of the tabs off of the side maker light so it wasn't staying out after a shake down drive, I stuck some two sided heavy duty tape in there and will see how that holds.

You need to mark the spot where you want to place the hook so it's centered between the grill, no cuts needed.

Had the same issue with my passenger side one; that plastic tab broke off when i installed the ZL-1 bumper......and now just going to use that 3M stuff you have.

Did you post pictures of your car with the ZL1 bumper? Did you get it painted already? I assume that you will be selling your old bumper or will you be keeping it as a spare?

I'm posting pics soon; just have to upload everything. I got it painted and installed in Arizona when I was at Ofer's house. He kept the old bumper and is cutting the T3 ports out for me to sell.

Purchased a new pair of shoes for my car today. 20x9.5 wheels and 275's all away around. I hope the new offset allows the 275's to fit up front unlike the ones I tried on stock rear wheels up front. Pictures to follow once the wheels come in.

Bummer today, the day before the big Able Chevrolet Cruise. Went to America's Tire to get my new wheels installed and the had three black ones and one polished! I ordered all four of them in black so I will be rolling on my stock wheels tomorrow. The all black wheels might be a bit too much, thinking I should have gone polished. Will have to see them on the car at a distance.

The new 9.5" front wheels with 275's give me about 3/8 of and inch of clearance on the inside if I'm lucky. The close gap is caused by the PFADT coil overs and their inverted design. The adjustment ring is what's sticks out the most and was rubbing up against my 9" OEM wheels up front. Beware if you have these coil overs, you need to do your homework to make sure that the wheels you purchase will clear the coil overs.

Cool videos of the UFO event Steve. I like the new wheels also! Too bad about the polished one. Possibly go with a polished lip and black wheels to tone down the black?
