How long was QC for the original Gen 5's?

Yes the 2013 Shelby GT500 with 650hp will be out before the ZL1...now to and jump ship...I need to get a ZL1!

The automobile has advanced so much since the 60's, and I don't think a Ford is that much worse than a Chevy, or a Dodge.
However, when looking at what is being offered I wouldn't get the GT500 over the ZL1, I'd rather wait, even if it'll be a 2013...I really don't care as I'm not one that needs it now, or needs to have an "exclusive" MY...heck I don't really need a ZL1.
It's all about what I want, and since it's something I want, I can wait.

Besides I'm so good looking I don't need a fancy sports car for the summer....

Sorry I just had to say that cuz I can't believe people would want to purchase a car for the summer, or use it to pick up some girl...that's pretty desperate if you ask me...oh sorry you're not asking, I'm just saying...

I sold my 69 camaro in anticipation of this car. If it is delayed too far into summer I will opt for another classic, and screw the new car.

Same situation here GM_Joe. I wasn't expecting to be car-less for the Summer. Which is a big deal to us in the great white north!!! Let's hope things get back on track soon

No, it won't. Job1 on the 2013 GT500 is not even slated until May, I believe. That means you aren't likely to take delivery of one until late July/August.

If my dealer or Chevrolet doesn't come through with a 2012 ZL1 I just might go for the GT500. I already have one Camaro I paid MSRP for. I could go to all the Camaro meets and all the Mustang meets. Now that's a thought. I just like fast cars with owners that like to enjoy them.

I'd take a GT500 if the Z wasn't available. I think with the solid rear, low weight and 650hp a guy could throw in a few mods and swaps to make a nice straight line bruiser.

Nah, im not a brand guy, i had my f150 for 8 years before we got the audi, with that being said, the camaro looks freakin awesome and the ZL1 is gonna be a beast. the only mustang that i'd ever consider would be a 71. However, today i finally found a hot wheels zl1 (blue) and my 4 yr old got a mustang laguna seca

You know I love my 5th gen and have put a lot of $$$$ in it however I couldn't sell my 69 for even a zl1

I have no idea when what will be available, I just said that to have some fun.
If anyone wants to jump ship because of the wait...I guess that's their decision...I only wish I could take their spot!

I personally feel the ZL1 is worth the wait, and the GT500 is not worth jumping ship. I'm not a brand car enthusiast, but looking at what the ZL1 has makes my decision to stay...even it it's a 2013 MY.

As long as I have a binding invoice I'd wait it out. Its not unusual for orders to get delayed.

i am not a brand loyalist to a fault....i considered other cars, drove other cars but always came back to the camaro - i will wait it out and WHINE on another link until it gets here......
