I have Pedders Xa Coilovers, Pfadt Solid Rear Subframe Bushings and BMR Trailing Arms on my Camaro. Tires (Drag Radials or Slicks) will help the most with Wheel Hop..

What is your plan with the car? Daily driver, street/strip, periodic AutoX? What potential horsepower level could this car see in the future? You mentioned that you have wheelhop problems. The cure for this is trailing arms and rear cradle bushings. Their may be other recommended products depending on how you answer the above questions.

Best answer so far...

I myself have Pfadt products (see signature) and couldn't be more happy, however, I'm sure with any Vendor on here you will get great products and service!

Talk to Chase from Apex when your looking to buy, great guy and very knowledgeable.

Get ready for at least 4 answers. All are great companies with excellent products and customer service. Pedders, PFADT (which I own), BMR, Hotchkis, all have complete 5th gen systems

If you're specifically looking to cure wheel hop there are a couple parts that will make a really huge difference in the car. Specifically replacing the factory Rear Trailing Arms and Toe Control Rods with pieces that are stiffer and lighter to prevent deflection under hard accelercation, as well as moving to Solid Rear Subframe Mounts to prevent movement between the chassis and the subframe. With both of those modifications under your belt the rear end of your Camaro will be much more planted while accelerating hard.

On the other hand if you're looking for a complete suspension upgrade there are other items which will not only help your car put power down, but make the car much more fun to drive as well! Sway bars and drop springs will make a really huge difference in the attitude of the car, and make the car much more fun to drive.

It really is amazing what a couple small modifications will do to these cars. Our priorities have always been to design the strongest and lightest parts available for your Camaro. Our dedicated engineering staff strives to build the best parts available through Computer Aided Design as well as on track testing of all of our parts. Check out the change in balance before and after just a sway bar change in this video below. Also be sure to check out the reduction in subframe movement when switching out the soft factory subframe mounts and moving to our solid aluminum pieces:

I run a combination of Pedders and PFADT. (see sig)..

Holy crap is the car an animal now... We have a lot of clover leafs near me, so I took a few of them last night and compared to how they felt when I was OEM and then with just PFADT Trailing/Solid Subframes..

The car just turned in to the curves, held the ground and showed no signs of instability.. It felt like the car wanted more speed from me, but it was dark and wasn't safe to go faster.. I can imagine my trip to Road America in April is going to be a ton of fun.

I really feel the Camaro should have had this setup as a factory option.. This thing is just crazy handling now.. Love it...

Two questions please.

1. What wheel, tire engine and driveline mods do you have or have planned?

2. Your new suspension will put never ending permagrin on your face if it.....

Talk about a subjective question.

As other have stated, your goals are going to dictate what you want out of a suspension package. Drag racing versus autocrossing require two completely different mind sets.

We can put together a tailored package for your goals that will be better priced than just about anyone!

Honestly, you can listen to everyone's reviews and opinions of their street cars and how much better this package or that components did for you. HOWEVER, we here at East Coast Supercharging will always test a product to it's ultimate limit. We have put Pfadt through the test numerous times on C5/C6 Corvettes and now the Gen V Camaro's.

How about a stock cube C5 corvette that has cut multiple 1.2x 60's and a WORLD RECORD BEST C5/C6 IRS 1.20 60' with Pfadt drag coilovers, Pfadt drag bar, Pfadt carbon fiber driveshaft, Pfadt drag spherical control arm bushing package. Let's ride along with Jay's PFADT equipped ride as he goes mid 8's with a soft launch!

Here is an outside view of Jay running with the Pfadt equipped suspension.

Here's another 8-second ride using all of the Pfadt suspension items. This car is almost a full weight Vette running 1.32 60's.

Ok, ok... I know these are all Corvettes and a Camaro is not the same as a Corvette, so...

2011 Camaro - Stock Bottom End, ECS Supercharger Kit, 3-Spd TH350 w/ Transbrake, 4118lbs race weight. Mickey Thompson II street drag radials.

1.41 60'

- Pfadt Rear Drag Bar
- Pfadt Street Coilovers with Drag Springs
- Pfadt Rear Control Arm Bushing Set
- Pfadt Rear Adjustable Toe Rods
- Pfadt Rear Trailing Arms

So, now you have PROVEN information of how well the Pfadt setups work. Now make your suspension decision

Whether its Pedders, BMR, or Pfadt, they are all quality suspension upgrades. Reason I went with BMR was because I could buy the complete Level 3 suspension kit at one time. The complete kits weren't offered with the other companies at that time. I have no regrets, the car handles like its on rails.

Thanks guys for speaking up on this and giving some real world feedback. As a spokesman for BMR I hesitated to answer and turn this into a sales post and was hoping some of our customers would chime in. Thanks!

I used BMR on my 4th Gen and now my 5th Gen. Their parts have never failed me and worked exactly as expected. Plus, you get great service from Kyle and Brett.

As biased as my original post was, all 4 companies make excellent products. I went with a manufacturer that has stood the test of time on some of the fastest cars and most consistent cars in the country. Just look at the list of winners and the suspension used on them in the NMCA series.
