I was watching qualifing on Saturday when it was announced that Pro Stock driver Greg Stanfield will be parking his Pontiac for a 2011 Camaro. Nitro Fish sponsored. They only hand one picture from the side, dark grey or black carbon fiber body. no date yet as to when it will run. The NHRA approved the body and there are 11 events left. Of the 3 or 4 Mustang in Pro Stock none have won anything. Jim Dunn said the pony wars are coming to the NHRA. Hot damn.

Well, to the best of my knowledge Stanfield is still working with a 2012 Camaro for Pro Stock. He had hoped to run the last 3 races of 2011 with it but they were still messing with the aerodynamics. In the mean time Todd Hoerner will be running a 2012 Camaro in ADRL. Debut is for March in Texas. Check NHRA.com or National Dragster. I will be at Pomona in Feb for the drags and hope to here what Summit Racing is going to do about the GXP. I think they still have a year to use a Pontiac body. As you have probably read GM has rolled out a few comp cars so I think we will see some GXP's replaced with Camaros. The NHRA has already approve the body and design of the Camaro. Jeg's is back this year, in a Dodge, and there are a few Mustangs in Pro Stock so the BOWTIE should jump into the mix. I hope. More when when it come avalibe.

Here are a couple of pictures of Camaro's debuting this year. I haven't been able to get the Nitro Fish car with the body wrapped, only the naked body.

Guess what Pro Stock Team is Testing Camaros this week in Florida.

That's right KEN BLACK and Summit Racing are testing Camaros. Greg Anderson said that it's great to get the pony wars going again. These are the only picture I have found. Al-Anabi has been testing this car.

No I love it just don't think the body looks to much like the Camaro with the splits in the middle. I know its just a full drag body but comeon it could be better.

Ever been to a wind tunnel for testing. Best looking bodies don't necessarily have the best aerodynamics.

Can't wait to see the NitroFish Wrap they are always radical.

Great to see Camaro back in the mix. Turns back the clock a bit on this 50 yr old LOL.

I'm off to qualifying, tomorrow. I know Stanfield won't has his Camaro on the track until March. Team Summit has said they are happy to be back in the seat of their GXP's since they hadn't been in them since Nov, except for testing in Vegas 2 weeks ago.

I hope they may have brought a Camaro with them. Anyway if I get pictures I will post them. I took these pics last year at the GM Performance stand.

Had a great time at The Winternationals. 4 days of Nitro.

Unfortunately, Greg Anderson said the Camaro won't be out until April.

Stanfield is sticking with March and Edwards is interested it what the car will do. So here are a few of pictures of what was there.

Little disappointed in the pro stock car, it does not look right. The comp car looks great though, very much Camaro! I love pro stock and I am happy to see they are running a Camaro, but they could have done a littl better with the look.

It is the scoop on the Pro car that takes away from its appearance. It looks like a bulbous nose on a sleek fighting machine! Just MHO.

As was posted today Greg stanfield will be running a Camaro this week in Vegas. I have a picture, from competition plus. There is a front view that I saw but now I can't find it.

It is about 3/4scale and has to fit into the NHRA proStock template so not really much camaro in the body except the graphics. Still like it.

I know from being in the pits the pro stockers are basically chopped and channeled versions of the original. I have seen the new Mustang and Mopar. The cars are pretty damn narrow. The front view showed that the lines were still there, on the Camaro. Anyway I will see it on TV and then see all of the projected Camaros when they get out here at Pomona for the finals. I'm a Summit/KB Racing but would like to see the Stanfield and his Camaro get the Wally.

Greg Anderson brought home the Wally in the first race with his new Camaro. Greg ran 6.50's all weekend long and keep the speed at 212mph. So it's Camaro 1 and Mustang 0:party0038:
