That's for sure. Every time I start the car!

Like others have stated I would look at a cam upgrade. We actually offer a cam package that includes the cam and upgraded valve springs, and allows you to keep the VVT, which will save gas mileage!

PM or Call us and we can get a great deal on an L99 cam upgrade for you.

I am extremely happy with that effect, though, so I really don't care. I've only gone through 1 full tank since the cam and headers were installed and got a whopping 14 mpg (calculated, not the car computer which always reads .5 high) which is a bit more than 1 worse than what I've averaged since I bought the car. Well worth it in my opinion since I love the way the car runs with the headers and cam!

MPG doesn't matter much to me but I got in a habit of tracking it a few years ago so I could see how much the ups and downs of gas prices really effect me.
the ported throttle body gives you better gas mileage bec air flows more smoothly it was the cam that affects gas mileage but it doesnt effect it that much maybe like a 1-2 mpg less which isnt that bad for the horsepower you get.....

I vote to work on your suspension next. All the power doesn't do you any good if you can't put it to the ground. Do some cradle bushings, rear end bushings, Trailing Arms, Toe Rods, Swaybars.

I would also look at doing some LPE 3.70 gears to get some good seat of the pants power.

Then look at a cam.

I think cam first and get some trailing arms well that's what I'm doing.

You may want to consider a CNC ported V-Max throttle body as well. For a N/A car, they make a big difference in throttle response, does not add much for actual performance numbers but the FEEL of your car is noticably different with the quicker throttle response.

Plus its a relatively cheap mod and a 10minute install job!!! About as affordable and easy a mod as you will find.

I can not help but think it would help a cammed car just as much if not more then a stock cammed car.

True you may see a little less mpg, but we have had a lot of happy customers with a very good mpg... a lot of it is in the tuning.

Check out my signature for ideas. My gas milage is still as good as stock. My next mod will be a small blower cam/Maggie upgrade/add boost from 10lbs to 11lbs.
