I am pretty durn sure that GM fully intended on calling the ZL1 a Z/28 but of course all of us on here waived the B/S flag and said no way cause it is supercharged..all of the parts were already in the making for test mules and such and of course this is all my opinion..

I fully agree but with an interesting twist of sorts..what has GM done since the inception of the 5th gen? keep it fresh..so I see a gap here before the 6th gen comes into play..everyone is going to want a new and bold 6th gen so the marketing at first won't matter if they use the nameplate of Z/28..but there is a year or two that will be a gap before it comes out and they are still gonna have to sell 5th gens during that span..are you following so far? I look forward to a Z/28 for mid model '13 or '14 call my bluff, it makes marketing sense
