Talking OBX Longtube Headers

So, just got my headers in the mail and finished installation yesterday For anyone that's wondering, these headers have excellent quality. The fit was PERFECT and welds were all smooth and beautiful. Anyone who pays 1200 for a set of kooks or stainless works is wasting they're money. Im happy with everything about them. I did the install in about 3 hours on jack stands in my garage and only had a few minor problems (which were not related to the headers). And I am only 19 with not much DIY experience. If anyone has any question an wants to know more about the headers or the install you can leave a comment or pm I would be super happy to give back something to the forum. Chears

Glad you got your issues worked out.
I love mine. At first I wasnt going to go with the OBX due to all the bashing going on here about them. I realized I was falling into the stereo typical 'follow the leader' syndrome that tends to occure on these forums. But in the long run, I followed my heart (and did my homework) and am damn glad I did.
Ha! Now I realize why all the negativity......damn good product at a damn good price.
Enjoy!

Hope your OBX lasts longer then mine did. Mine didn't even last a year before they had to be junked and replaced. Between buying the OBX, spending money trying to repair them, and buying a second set from a good name brand I ended up spending twice the amount I would have if I had just bought the name brand to start with.
They come with a life time warranty? Why didn't you claim it?

OBX's "limited" warranty apparently is only limited to them not being installed. And their customer service is practically non-existent. My problems with the headers started only months after installation. I thought the same thing, hey they have a life time warranty I'll just contact them. When I did get a hold of someone (which felt like it took an act of congress to achieve) I was pretty much told that getting them fixed was my issue not theirs and to take a hike.

Doesn't one of the forum sponsers sell them? I would ask them what the warranty policy is.

Wow you got screwed. The warranty is supposedly good for "track applications"

How bout some LG love, just bought mine and got them in yesterday. They are some nice headers! Installing them tomorrow, hope all goes well. With that said I saw a set of OBX today on a camaro and they looked fine and sound really good.

it doesn't matter wether you buy kooks, ARH, OBX, or the "super fake stainless" ebay headers. For those who bought OBX because you didnt want to spend almost $1000 on headers, i understand. And for those who have the high dollar stuff, thats awesome, it will probably last you a lot longer!! There's no need to bash each other though!! We all think differently, and have our own opinions!! At the end were all Camaro owners!! lol

im just trying to figure out how a brand of performance parts brings out the "ghetto" in a car owner like how the internet brings out all the ignorance in people i guess. bottom line is people buy what they want, its his car let him learn on his own. if the man is happy with HIS purchase who are you to piss on his parade? this thread is like an argument over someone who shouldn't eat from the dollar menu at mcdonalds because YOU eat hardees and the beef is better "quality"(angus)and more expensive... it serves the same purpose, your hungry you eat and are no longer hungry. sure the dollar menu will probably leave him with "the squirts" but if he likes it let HIM buy all the mcdoubles he wants... im just saying
