For the record Dave,
I never called anyone an Idiot or anything else for that matter. I'm just very disappointed that nobody caught either of these, potentially disastrous, issues.
This thread may help avoid a lot of problems going forward. Sorry if that causes you any personal offense.

I know you didn't. It's the replies from others jumping in on the your dealer is an idiot bandwagon.

Again really sorry you experienced this and glad no harm was done and you caught it in time.

PDI doesn't go over every nut and bolt like the factory assembling the cars do. We highlight the major points we are told to inspect before the car is sold.

I'm sorry fatherdad had to experience this and I hope it is an isolated weird issue.

YES, we removed the yellow spring spacers. No we are not idiots
It is on the PDI list.

Fluid Levels: Add as required

Just because a fluid cap is under a cover doesn't exempt it from the PDI checklist. They don't list every single fluid, just to check all fluid levels.

If I am going to spend any money at a dealer I expect them to do their job.

Has anyone heard a "flapping paper" like sound from the car when driving over 50.... I am hearing something while driving that sounds like paper. Nothing s loose on the car. Cannot find where it's coming from. Also all of the paper tags are still attached to the hoses under the hood.....should I take those off?

Hopefully, Mr. Goodwrench will catch up. Therein lies the bottle neck GM.
Well, you are right. Service is almost non-existent anymore. Pride has gone the way of the dodo.

I do my own stuff. Like the other guy said, research it, take your time and be very careful.

But nobody touches my car unless they are a true enthusiast and credible.

BTW, you didn't notice the monster truck look when you left the dealer?
