Solved! Hawk HP+ chatter/grinding noise

Took the car into my dealership (Carter GM) this morning and one of the service advisors test drove it. It's the ABS coming on. He figures that the tires and brakes are sort of working against each other. Cold tires+grabby brakes make the ABS come on permaturely. It is only under HARD braking, so will just have to manage it until the tires warm up.
