Rear pracel tray removal camaro 2012

Hi there
i am trying to tint my rear window of my camaro 2012.
I am struggling with the removal of the parcel tray.

Are there any hints, inscriptions, pictures or videos.

Are you talking about the third brake light cover? we trimmed mine out because we couldn't get it right

You need to remove the C pillar trim in order to remove the rear deck.

From another thread where someone was trying to replace the speakers...

1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. Remove the rear seat back
3. Remove the plastic trim rocker panels
4. Remove the rear side trim pieces, be careful the air bags are underneath.
5. Remove the rear side panels (large)
6. From the trunk side, loosen the clips holding the rear parcel tray.
7. Remove the side felt carpeting that wraps around the body
8. Remove the trim buttons that hold the parcel tray and careful work the parcel tray off the body, you may have to get you hand under the plastic to snap it away from the metal body. This is a big pain!


Honestly, you can tint the rear window, even behind the 3rd brake light without removing a single thing. You just need the right tools to do the job right. There is a small gap between the rear window and the 3rd brake light housing. You just need a thin and long squeegee type tool to reach between the two.

and if you really do all that to tint, you might as well replace the rear speakers while your there
