How many have had the ZR1/LS9X clutch and what were your results and RWHP

Just as it says. How many have had failures/success with the ZR1/LS9X clutch? State RWHP, miles, how you use the car (beat it or easy) and how many drag strip passes.

I had mine fail at around 800 miles and 3 passes, I am at 650 RWHP and beat on my car on the street and the strip.

I also have the LS9-R and Im right around 4000 miles on mine, I have 655 RWHP. Only issue I have is every now and then the clutch pedal stay partially engaged, or doesnt come back up, when shifting between 6800- 7000 RPMs. Other then that its been great to me.

I have approximately 10 passes down the drag strip and 3 road course events on this clutch....

I drive it hard also....

The sticking to the floor was what mine started doing when I beat on it, then it went poof.

this should solve the clutch pedal sticking, i plan on running it in my car also where do you get the ls9-r clutch

I always thought the pedal sticks to the floor when the clutch overheats...if you can get a better clutch the pedal won't stick as much/anymore.

Don't waste your time unless your going to stay under 550 hp because the LS9 stuck to the floor more than my stock clutch ever did and only lasted 800 miles and 3 passes down the strip st 650rwhp. If you think putting a return spring on your clutch is a legitimit way to get it to return then go for it but I can assure you it is sticking for a reason. I also have a separate clutch resivoir so its not from the fluid being hot.

I currently have the LPE Max-CX clutch (20% Stronger than ZR-1 Clutch) with over 800rwhp.. I had the ZR-1 Clutch with 625 rwhp and no issues with the clutch, only the slave cylinders.

Well maybe it is possible I got a bad one but I can't for the life of me understand how this clutch failed and I wasn't having any issues from my stock clutch. I mean I had 6k on my stock clutch at above 550 rwhp and about 10-12 passes.

The only slave that will work with this clutch is the ZR-1 slave.

I can't belive that all the people who I heard of failures haven't said anything yet. I know 1 person who said they had 3 fail below 550rwhp....lol

I have the LPE 20% stiffer P.O.S. I'm at 634RWHP is great on the streets, but hates the track. I miss shifts almost 50% of the time as with the stock clutch I almost never did. I'm on my 2nd slave probably have 10 track passes on the clutch. Had the double spring return but took it off because it was a joke how much stiffer it got even when I adjusted it to lighter tension. It's not really fixing the problem. I've added a separate clutch resevior. Really doesn't matter now because the local drag strips closed and one reopen but it's a 1/8 mile.

I think you high HP boys should be calling this guy ->Hendrix-Engineering
for your clutch upgrades.

i'm running the ls9 and i love it but i'm not making the power you guys are . If i up my HP i'll be calling Hendrix-Engineering for my clutch upgrade. He's got what works.

I'm installing the ACT twin disk next week. My factory lasted longer then expected @ 46k with 500whp. No drag strip passes but several auto-x and I drive it like I stole it. Just ordered the GTO res and hoping that helps keep me from having any issues.
