If the entire back end was submerged I would be checking the battery, the rear differential (most have a vent) and all electrical connections to make sure they are not damaged. Some new dielectric grease in the connectors wouldn't hurt. Also check under the rear seat to make sure no water leaked in from the trunk and is sitting under there.

I was thiniing same thing. A fluid change in the rear woudl be a good idea.

There's definately some electronics in the trunk. I think there's a fusebox and some controllers in there. I think the fuel pump controller may be in the trunk. You've got a SS, so that means you've got an air compressor by your battery. It could be ruined. Make sure you check eveything out. Even if eveything seems ok, I think I'd notify my insurance company. If you have problems down the road and GM figures out that you've had water, they may try to void your warranty. Good Luck.

Also, wheel bearings could be damaged if the water level was above the center of the wheels.

Glad to hear the car is mostly okay. I had a scary situation yesterday. I have an Injen long tube with a hydroshield on it. Driven it in the rain plenty with no problem. Yesterday was rain like I had never seen before. In a matter of 5 minutes the streets were starting to flood. I went through one intersection that was decently flooded and that was enough, I pulled off the road before getting to the next intersection, waited 15 minutes until the storm stopped and the sun was out for a few minutes to let the streets drain. Drove home after that with no issue. I'm really glad there was a bank to pull in before the next intersection, as I was really nervous I was going to suck water up the intake. Has made me think about switching intakes.

Glad to hear the Camaro is OK Adam. I'm not far from Fairfield and that rain last night made me nervous too. I have a carport for the Camaro but I was panic stricken when that hail came down. I went outside right after and luckily nothing got under the carport on the car. Phew!
My brother said there was some really bad flooding over by Harrison Ave on the westside also. He said it was almost like a tidal wave of water coming down Rybolt and leaving cars stranded. Scary!
