Thanks for the pics and post. I think in rain alot of things in the engine compartment are going to get wet looking at the hood design. There are only mesh vents and nothing to safely channel the water away from the engine and headers. While it looks good I think it is designed for the showroom more.

If your moving I don't see a drop of water getting in. I had a convertible SL500 and with the top down in light/moderate rain going 35+ the air flow blows it behind you.

OK but if you are parked at work and it rains all day for 6 hours....where does all that water end up?

The run-off will not affect any components, same as ZL1 hood.

The vents are located on each side of the strut towers and the water seems to drop between the headers and the shock towers.

My car got owned by hail and my shop said insurance will cover an aftermarket hood. Can you PM me your best price and how quickly can you have this at my door? Would probably need it in the next 2-3 weeks.

Thanks!

How well will the paint match on the fiberglass hood to rest of the car?

The front fascia on most of our cars doesn't match the rest of the car perfectly, cause the front fascia is plastic.

Also your red Camaro in the pics has the mail slot blocked is that something they used to block it, or is it a new front fascia?

Paint matching is not an issue on the fiberglass hood.

As fort he front fascia, that is Unrestricted Motorsports custom front fascia.

Saw this car with the Comp series hood over the weekend at a car show and hood still looks amazing and so different then the ordinary run of the mill hood.

Is there a way to get this hood without the extractor ports on the sides?
