anyone been 1.8x 60' stock GEN5
Just wondering is anyone has been in the 1.8' 60' with street tires and stock car?
My car averages 2.01x but has been 1.962 with the A6.

I cut 7 consecutive 1.91s the other night. Better air probably would have been high 1.8s. My iats were 120& plus leaving the line so there was some timing pull.

I'm getting KR on pump gas, and see my car pulling timing also even when its not heat soaked. Looking forward to getting my CAI to help control that. Really needs a tune. You logging with HP Tuners?

It is definitely possible but hard to do consistently. Since the tracks are open all year long down here I've seen a few guys cut 1.8's with stock radials in the winter months...

You guys should post your 60' times in the Official 60' list sticky. Anything under a 2.0 is pretty good on stock tires with a stock car. There is a section for the top 20 quickest 60's on street tires in the thread. To post, go here:

As you know Josh I went a 1.95, I think I can do better if the air stays good before I can get out again.

You can scroll down the "official" 1/4 mile list (top 30) stock. It shows all the
60' times for the fastest stock Camaro SSs. There's only 1 (stock) Camaro SS on the list that pulled 1.8x sec 60'. (Top 30 in each category) Camaro SS, Stock 1/4 Mile Fast List https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...thkey=COX0uaMC Stock

Thanks for the info guys.
I got it in my log book, but gotta dig through this stack to find the slip of my best 60' pass. Cold Air Inductions CAI on the car now, so its not stock. But got 80-90 runs on it before I made any changes. We got a bunch of 1.9x 60' runs bone stock, but was hoping to catch the track on kill and low DA one night but havent gotten the chance yet. How you liking the new car John?

I didn't think 60' times that low were possible without extensive suspension mods on the stock tires... I just finally pulled my first sub 2.0 60' on Saturday. A 1.988 on Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 285/40/18 street tires; same 220 treadwear rating as the P Zero's... I thought that was pretty good.

I cut that 1.95 on a so-so track. My next pass I bogged and only went a 1.99, I got into the gas too slow. On a prepped track with no waiting, I can see how a very low 1.9x could happen.

I'm fairly consistent in the 1.9 area. My best 60 was a 1.93 - musta been a strong tail wind...

My first and only time to the track I pulled consistent 1.8's on stock tires. Just a few minor bolt ons. I ran three times. Two 12.4's and a 12.5. The 12.5 was because I tried to leave harder and spun.

I could have sworn reading about someone pulling a 1.6 on stock suspension before....but don't quote me.

I read a post where an L99 A6 pulled 1.5x sec 60' (stock suspension) but he was supercharged, had a 2800 stall, and was running drag radials with lighter wheels than stock. 1.6 is very do able (stock suspension) for the higher HP cars (supercharged, etc) running drag radials. But 1.5 sec 60' and faster is where the big boys play and usually requires a well setup car (suspension, wheels, tires).

We got the new suspension in and everything aligned today. So heading to test tomorrow and see how the car does with a little more power and new rear parts.
I'd like for it to go 1.8x on street tires, but really want to see consistency.

Thanks man.
It was HOT out today at the track. Low 90s in the shade and track was prob 130+. Got about 10 runs in on the new setup and I can say its a HUGE difference in consistency even on street tires and hot lapping the car. The Cold air inductions CAI helped the keep the IATs down, and the suspension granatelli sent us had 60' with 0.03 all day on Pzeros. 13.50 trim for commerce: 13.574 13.561 13.480 13.571 13.486 13.524 13.487 13.590 13.503 13.501 Hope it does that good in a couple weeks at the CHP race.
