1st gear to 2nd gear

Ok so I have just over 8K miles on my SS

I am finding with the car stopped and the clutch to the floor

1st to 2nd gear is like melted butter and transitions as I expect

with the car rolling a few mph the transition from 1st to 2nd
there appears to be a bit of a grind or meshing issue causing the grind

I noticed this when I 1st bough the car and then even switch to RP synchromesh trans fluid but the issue remains consistent with it being like butter when stopped

however when the car is even just rolling the transition from 1st to 2nd
is a bit rough with grinding and does not seem right..

anybody else with this issue going on?

I am going to bring it in to be looked at but figured I'd throw the scenario
out there.

and yes it continues to occur even after the trans is up to temp
50 60 miles out on a ride..

Makes it shift alot smoother.
Yeah this is on my mind more than Modding the car at the moment, have appointment Thursday so I see what I can do to sell the service writer on trans trouble and out of sync synchrose

Odd that its only 1 - 2

2 -3 3 - 4 4 - 5 and 5 - 6 all good and and as easy as the car being idle

Looking into the improved master cylinder from IdealG

Tech able to replicate 1st - 2nd gear grinds

He is chasing this down with GM, even if nothing comes of this at the moment
it's logged with my dealer and GM

the tech and service writer said they would get back to me.

so we will see what they have to say.

I have the same problem. I took my car in last friday. Gave the service manager a ride and he said leave it here with me we'll fix it. Received a call today from the SM and he said GM Corp. won't touch it and it is normal. WTF? I have 1680 miles on the car. He also told me I would get better 0-60 times shifting at 4800. What's next?

well to keep this updated I now have 12000 miles on my SS after the above parts where changed at the dealer, + I added the IdealG master Cylinder and Separate reservoir and stainless line..

absolutely no grinds

tech told be back when this was done the the synchro was basically welded to the shaft
and it needed to be forced off, but even before the other work it was improved but I went the extra steps with IdealG Master Cyl separate reservoir and Braided Line

6400 rpm gear pulls are not a problem and NO grinds pulling hard!!
