My house was broken into a couple years ago. It SUCKS! Not only do they take your stuff, but they also take your sense of security.

Always keep guns in a locked, secure safe for this exact reason... now the criminal is armed.

When I lived in the heart of Baltimore my father and I were still up around 1am and guy started climbing in through our kitchen window... he came into the wrong house

I live in the middle of nowhere, this type of thing is really rare around here. I just got a room finished and was going to move my gunsafe into it from my parents this weekend. Bad timing. :(
I wish I was here when they came. They wouldn't be around anymore.

Sorry to hear it. Best advice is watch the local pawn shops, Craig's list, E bay. Anywhere they can unload it for quick cash. If you see it CALL THE COPS!!!! don't be foolish and get shot with one of your own guns. This worked for a few people in the North West. Police are too understaffed to do it and you'll recognize your stuff faster than anyone else. Best of luck.

Pawn shops are your best bet so I would check them first. Guns on the other hand typically are sold on the street depending on what they are so I doubt you will get those back. The street price for a gun that can't be traced back to the shooter sometimes is double what they go for in a gun shop and is highly valuable to someone looking to shoot someone.
