I was just watching transformers 1 and didn't notice til now that this scene makes it totally obvious that Chevy kicks fords butt. Haha. You guys probably already saw this but I think it's funny how bumblebee wins. Doesn't show the whole scene but bumblebee killed him

barricade was a saleen s281. not a Ford. yea I know they were based off mustangs and whatnot but Ford technically had nothing to do with the car. 2 different manufacturers. just saying.

And it was done by Steve Saleen as well. Makes me wonder why they had to have a Ford guy build it.

Saleen makes more than just Mustang based cars. they do Camaros and Challengers too.

They do now but at that time it was only Mustang and Steve Saleen no longers owns that company

no. the s7 was/is one of the baddest cars ever made. and at the time the movie was being filmed saleen had broken off completely from ford for a year already. in fact the saleen used for barricade was the first nonford model. the 2006. its probably why he was commissioned by gm, who was the supplier to the movie, to build bumblebee. which, like many have stated, he did out of a 2006 GTO and gm prototype camaro body 'glass. which, for the record, was only made in a v8.. and didn't I read a while back that saleen was returning?

Don't forget also that Bumblebee is a "good" guy and they're supposed to win.
Also, GM was a paid sponsor for the movie, so you can't show a sponsor losing right?

in the "Behind the Scenes" take, it was a Kia with SmartCar badging, but once special effects got ahold of it, it was made to look like a Saleen.

not exactly.. he won the court case to get his Saleen brand name back. basically he just converted the SMS Supercars brand to Saleen.
