Since I have both Corvetes and Camaros I wave to everyone! Gets a bit confusing if I'm in the Camaro and wave to a Vette though . Even worse when I'm in my Equinox and wave

Back in 09 and 10 when we first got our Camaro EVERYONE waved to us, Vettes, Camaros, Challengers, etc. Only brand I did not see waving were Mustangs guess they had the jealousy thing going on.

I will have to to totally agree on this whole deal about 5th Gen owners in my area not waving or acknowledging other owners. I though it was just me. I used to get them all the time in my 72 RS but now ziltch. I love cars in general not just Camaros. Hell I'd wave to a Fiat 500 driver if I ran up on one.

Yea, I've had a challenger or two give me the nod/wave, but it seems like I never get a response back on other Camaro's. It's a little disappointing to be honest. To me, driving a Camaro is like driving a motorcycle (social-wise, that is ) -- when I'm riding my motorcycle, I give the deuces when I pass other motorcycles, and almost always get one in return, regardless of the brand of motorcycle. So I have no problem nodding to someone who has a nice Challenger or Camaro. Mustang, not so much, unless they seem receptive No problem with mustangs personally, though.

I got compliments all day yesterday, made me feel good. My fav so far, I was driving slow in a mall parking lot and strangely there was a bus full of young japanese kids, all the sudden they go nuts seeing and hearing my camaro lol, in a matter of seconds there was around 30 japanese kids jumping up and down, pointing, taking pics and all I could hear was alot of screaming in japanese with the word camaro in between what I couldn't understand. I couldn't help but smile ear to ear lol.

My ultimate compliment was this past weekend when I entered my car into a local HS car show that was predominantly old school muscle/classic cars. Everything from 50s-60s Shelby Cobras, to 57 Bel-airs and etc. were there and they all looked amazing.

Long story short, when it came time to hand out the trophies, I was awarded "Participants Choice", because everyone that entered the car show, liked my car the most!

It's always humbling when you have lots of older men and women that vote for a modern car with a younger owner.

I still get excited seeing another camaro on the road, I always look at the driver and if he looks back, I give a thumbs up but they just stare at me and look away.

I only get a thumbs up/smile/wave back from young drivers like myself.

I have had my 2010 2ss SIM M6 since June of last year. I was shocked the first time someone waved at me. I always wave back regardless of make or model. I still get excited everytime I see another Camaro.
Especially when I walk up to mine!!!!

Small town here. Most of the time when I pass another 5gen its a high school girl and a v6.

Only know of 2 guys that drive one. 1 lt and 1 ss :(

Guy in lt has "sugar" in his tank so I don't wave lol.

No offense, but that's a crappy ultimate compliment. Ultimate compliment for me would be ScarJo leaving her number and spare housekey on my windshield.

As a former Vette owner...and I will have C7 when they come out, the one thing I noticed when I got my vette was that when I passed other vettes on the road, there was a mutual respect consistently conveyed with a "wave". For the past 3 years, I have also owned a Camaro, and now we own 2. I am now making it a point to wave to other Camaro drivers in an attempt to show the same type of mutual respect shared among Corvette owners.

I have owned my camero for a month or so and have been stopped 2 times by people that want to take photo's and have recieved all sorts of compliments. I have to be carefull pulling up to a school bus, the kids are all hanging out the windows and freaking out.
There are not a lot of camero's where I live, but I wave when I see one. Just seems odd to me that my car has generated so much intrest.

I'm a former Vette owner and do the same.

I always take it as a compliment when people say "Hey... there goes my car" when I drive by.

I usually wave or thumbs up another camaro of any generation i see on the road. But I dont get many that wave back. However there are times Ive been tired and going back and forth to class and my reaction time was just not there to respond to someone waving at me. Sometimes you just get to preoccupied thinking about measuring bearing preload that you dont notice a friendly camaro wave until its too late.
