I may have missed it, but did this thread start out with "Hey, I just won the lottery and I'm going to build a shop"?

That thing is un real...

Maybe one day, after the Navy, I can move back to TX and have one of these dream man cave/garages.

Congrats, that is truly awesome, mws444!

Sorry for the lack of updates guys. Had to do the working thing in order to pay for all of this fun stuff.
We have really been enjoying the Shop, having lived in it for the last two months. We threw a BBQ bash for the kids basketball teams and family, over 90 poeple came down and enjoyed it all for an evening.
House is coming along well, and blowing the budget all to heck and back.
The Snapon guy and I have become the best of friends.
Fiinally got a chance to pull the Camaro out of the trailer and get her up on the lift.
Parts are ordered and I hope to have her among the living really soon. I have to get back into the top ten on the go fast list here soon.

My shop is your shop Pete, anytime!
When is the new sway going to be ready for my car?
Hey if you get a chance post up the torque specs for the suspension, figure it is a good time to check it all out while she is airborne.
Maybe over on the suspension section would be a better place, so everyone will have access.

Bush Timing

Step 1. Lift the car on a two post lift and raise it.

Step 2. Loosen the following bolts/nuts:
Front:
---Inner Control Arm Bushing
---Inner Radius Rod
Rear:
---Trailing Arm Bushings (both ends)
---Toe Rod Bushings (both ends)
---Lower Control Arm Bushings (Inner)
---Upper Control Arm Bushings (Rearward)
---Lower Strut Bushings

Step 3.
Lower the car and drive it around the parking lot SLOWLY and on to the alignment lift.

Step 4.
With the weight of the car on the wheels tighten all of the nuts/bolts to spec.

Step 5.
Align the car at the new ride height.

Here are the newest FE2, FE3, FE4 and FE5 OEM and Pedders Alignment Specs.

I expected the Made in the USA rear bars this past week. Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Thanks Pete!
Great to hear some of the great Pedders stuff is being made in the USA!
I will bet the search for a shop here to do it was quite a feat in and of itself.

It took three years to find a suitable source. Then we had to do validation testing. From start to receiving our first batch of product took a total of four years. Our Camber bolts, endlinks brackets and other bits are IMPORTED FROM DETROIT. When volumes reach an appropriate level, we'll make our springs at the USA Head Office instead of the AU Head Office. It is just a matter of time.

It is obvious from the level of fit and finish as well as performance, Pedders sweats every detail, and sources from the best of the best. Makes me proud to know that the USA can still make the "Best" in the world! I guess the trick is doing it at a cost effective level. I know first hand the amount of capital investment a company has to make to be able to produce here. Our labor costs are just about the highest in the world, automation is our only saving grace.
Keep doing it right Pete! My car will be on the lift until the new sways arrive so hurry up!

All it took was a couple of times sweeping and mopping this place to figure out we needed a faster easier way. This thing is awesome, no streaks and the floor shines like a palace. It is actually fun to clean the floor now.

Don't tempt me... there's just something about hauling a large, heavy load that makes life interesting.

you get that truck to SC or pay for me to come out to El Paso and I'll drive it for you... hell, I could probably put the other truck and trailer I'm going to be driving... INSIDE that one

Ok I finally got a chance to get some wrench time with my Camaro.

Here is a picture of the aftermath of a 4 hour mad dash to install the tranny. I guess it will take me 2 more hours to clean up the mess.
I love this shop, it was 102 outside and 70 in the shop. I was able to do it alone, the goofy nephew that was going to help me stayed long enough to dump out my tool box, yep opened three drawers at the same time.
