I know you are happy to be getting this resolved!
Curious to know what the failure looks like (pump spring, pickup tube disengaged, etc)

Me too! I'm gonna ask for the pump to keep! Got all parts still that have came off the car!

I'd be curious to know how it failed. The pumps are very simple in design.

99% sure it's the spring in the relief valve!

must have not been assembled correctly or something then, or some kind of rubber seat that fails or something.

I mean a spring is a pretty simple thing lol.

Either way, will look forward to the diagnosis.

I'm waiting on chris to give me pricing on his cam package. I found a guy selling a truck that MAY run, I'm not really in a hurry to get a 4th vehicle, but I'm kinda strange I guess. I like to have too many hobbies. If I wanted to spend this kinda dough I shoulda became a rocket surgeon or a brain scientist.

I've always wanted to get into the car flipping business but my parents wouldn't let it happen.
:(

I Guess it doesn't make sense to them to buy a cheap car and flip it, they've always bought new cars and kept them till close to 200k miles.

It's not really always profitable.

I wasn't sold on keeping it anway, AND I'm looking at it closer in the pics, looks like it might be a rust bucket. 197x GM trucks always were.

The price of this truck could probably get me my cam and DOD delete kit.

The fix for the stuck spring was not to replace the pump but to shim the spring so that it doesn't get stuck again!

I have yet to see it happen in an L99. Almost always the LS3. Not sure if the pump is different or what.
Glad you are getting it sorted.

I di believe it's only the ls3's! Why, I have no idea! And it seems to only happen with the earrrrrrrrly 2010's! I'm 20,252! I really don't know if it went that high! Was pretty much on the RPO's! Which I just missed!

I didn't realize you were that early, Scott. I'm 38,877.

Good luck with the fix!

Glad everything is working out Scott!

So folks what did we decide about doing another meet at Stone Mountian?

Oh Chip, I'm taking the new Jeep for maiden voyage on the 26th down to Union Grove to see how it does!!

Stone Mountain meet sounds fun to me!

And that's badass! I wish I could come but my YJ is still overheating, 4x4 doesn't work, needs new tires, etc. Haha, too many problems to list!

Really looking forward to hearing how it performs!

I think a stone mt meet would be cool. Even if we don't make it a major meet, no reason a few of us that would like to do it couldn't just go and grill out!

We can talk more about it at fbody im sure.
