I just finished Metal Gear Solid 4 (late, I know...). Now I'm thinking I need to buy the Metal Gear Solid HD collection.

Here is a few links to get you started. I'm not going to lie, this is a neat little program. But it was a PITA getting it to play Final Fantasy 7 flawlessly. Hope you have some time on your hands.

Link to a brief history
Link to their website for download.

Now I'm not perfect. There may be another way to play PlayStation games on a computer. this is just one emulator that I have found, and have made it work.

I love Metal Gear. I wish the games would never end. I loved the fourth one when we played a few scenes from the PS1 version of the game. What a throwback!

That part threw me off guard at first! It was well placed and a nice nod to good old 8-bit.

Still got my original copy of FF7 for my PS3. I can't believe how many of these games I hung onto, they never get old.

I also have my original copy from my ps1. It's one of the misprinted copies too! Sadly, I opened it.

Aladdin's Castle

Ok, back in the day, sometime after electricity became widely available and before microprocessor games, there was an era of electromechanical games.

Pinball machines.

Until I saw this thread, I totally forgot that I still have one in the basement. (I went through about a dozen machines back in the 90s to flip for cash).
Aladdin's Castle was introduced in the mid 70s as the featured tournament game at the annual pin game meet in Chicago.

Just for kicks I fired it up this morning and played a few games.

Checkout the foxy chick!
Is this old school or what?

I was a big fan of Rockum Sockum Robots !!
Now I remember my 1st electronic game, it was when dad bought one of those motors for the tv antenna. I would play with it inside the house to try and get a good picture. (black and white that is)

Well games are meant to be played. I don't think any of use thought they would be collector pieces 15-25 years ago.
