If Tracy cant get a time slot for dyno numbers from other shops he has to go to I'll have numbers by the end of the month early next month. Tracy is in the middle of moving shops ATM

As many know I have a M6 and I have all the suspension goodies you can think of. Except a front and rear stut bar. But when I drive like a DICK which is most of the time lol. I can burnout thru 4th gear still, But also I have all season tires. But when I launch the car at 2500-3000 rpm's (boost is at 3200 rpm's) I the car can handle it good just need some DR's. Also if you try launching at a drag with these steps it should help with traction alil.
1) Launch off the line with ALL the nannies on.
2) After in 2nd turn off the TC and away you should good.
I tried this and works great for me. Also remember that the SS's have Launch Control unlike the V6's. That's why they get better time also. Vince is suppose to be working on this for his tune. I think IPF already has it for they tune.

And yes Tracy told me about 2 weeks ago that he is moving into a bigger shop also. Surprised he didn't mention it before. He is also in the works on getting his own DynoJet for the new shop. This is another reason why he's is so tight on time.

And the reason their isn't any dyno numbers yet is as he said before the dyno is booked up way ahead of time by big dollar race teams during this NHRA and other racing events. And this dyno is the only one with in like 200 miles if I recall right.

Not to mention he said he wasn't going to dyno until the tune was completed for the HPFP.

I getting tired of waiting as well, but I have no reason to complain so I'll just have to wait more

The other equation would obviously be tires. 18" Hoosiers and skinnies I'm leaning towards. (Sorry for the Yoda speak.) I'm wondering if I could get into high 11's with RX SC plus suspension and tires. I think it's doable especially with the new HPFP.
SIX looks like you have a great suspension set-up going on your car.I think tires are going to be a big part in getting theses cars to hook up on the launch.

I see the 1" ice-olator in that one picture. It's on the one with your hood open, it's laying on the front black portion where the hood latch is.

Im not going to answer for Tracy but if you look at the top 3 V6 times,HDRS,Rod1 and Grecthen ,i may be wrong but i think all 3 of them where running a full drag set up skinnies and slicks to get those times. As Gretchen said the v8 has a differant suspension than the V6.If you look even the NA v6 folks have traction problems with these cars at the track. If it takes a full drag wheel and tire set-up to get a good launch and 60 ft times then thats what i will have to do by C5F III

I was running DRs and skinnies. I think Rod1 ran spares up front and DRs. HDRS ran slicks and skinnies I believe. Having a lot of meat in the back helps a lot!

Thanks for the info,i was trying to remember the set-ups without searching the forum for an hour. And yes seems like tire selection is the key for good times with our V6's.

I think you will have problems. But, lower your rear pressure a bit (28 psi or so) and it should help. Leave the nannies on and launch it easy. Once you hook then roll into the throttle and you will be fine. It will probably spin again in second, though.

Us V6er's should be used to waiting. We have done alot of waiting it seems for every product for our cars from intakes to exhaust and everything in between. As we all know it takes alot time, money, testing ,tunning to get new products out for our cars.Yes we all want it done yesterday, but we all want the best product we can get for our hard earned money.

OK.. I guess there are no V6 RS FI cars yet. RS's have the same tires as SS's. And Manuals have a locking diff. That should help too.

Pulled great 2nd & 3rd so looking at the incrementals we should have been running mid-low 12's but until we put sticky tires on.......and were not dynoing until Vince has the tune written for the new fuel pump.

BlackTT600 is right on concerning the fuel, etc.
As Tracy stated the car was at pony wars this weekend. This was with the stock fuel pump, car runs great, the super chiller works awesome.Just had no traction 2.90 60' and ran a 14 in the 1/4.I am going to work on the traction issue with suspenion parts and some sticky tires, going to start with some nt555r DR's.If those dont help with the extra hp/tq getting traction then i will go from there.

If you can here...I was on the throttle, off the throttle, and if you notice, the car I'm running there is a ZL1....we ran app 2sec slower as he had traction issues as well.

Yes, we have to vacate by midnight tonight and the electricians are not even hardley started in the new facility and Verizon came today to install phone and internet and they couldn't until electricians finish something else so we are in a state of chaos and trying to process & ship orders w/out too much disruption.

My Vette bracket car (in my sig) usually runs 10.50's ran a best of 10.91 when the track was fresh but even later after re-prep it would only spin no matter how I launcged and that car is all drag and usually pulls the wheels. It was later in the day when we ran smokes car.

Unless your running DR's in the rear with a full suspension set up the M6's LSD will spin out regardless. And Smoke has a RS M6 he just custom made the rears wheels wider.

You will have to do what gretchen is saying to even have a shot at getting a little traction on the stock tires.

Problem with that is, you will probably lose at least a second of you ET just because your babying it off the line.

Suspension + slicks is really the best you could do...but whether all of that is worth it is up to you. Otherwise you will be enjoying your new power daily on the street....unless you try to drag someone there (which is a no no!) but also because you will just spin! lol
