Questions after new posi install

Well we got the Eaton Posi today an I love it already. After the install the ASR and ABS INOP lights are on. The new posi did not have the reluctlor ring on it as the old open differential did. And it sounds like I either need to install a new reluctor ring to shut the lights off or ignore/pull the bulbs out.
my question is where could I get a reluctor ring to put on it? I cant take the ring off the old open differential. Or would you guys not even worry about it a pull the bulbs out?

Yea he's saying have it tuned out.

I haven't heard of anybody tuning out traction control and ABS before though nor do I know that you can. If it's simple I'd just fix it. I've chasing an ABS Inop light for the last 2 years, but without a scanner I have no leads onto what randomly throws it.

He said its in the BCM and he cant do anything about it.
There is pretty much no way to get rid of those lights except for putting the reluctor ring around the new posi or pulling the bulbs.

Which is why I say tune it out. Without the reluctor ring it probably will throw the codes to flash the ABS and ASR lights. The new Posi is just fooling the computer; thus if you retune the computer to ignore the signals from the sensors saying "ZOMGOHNOESPROBLEMZ!" everything should be spiffy.

Pretty much did something similar when I shut down my skip shift from the PCM/ECU. Just call up another shop or hit up LS1tech and look up posi swaps or symptoms of what you have and look at solutions. Pretty sure a dyno shop could do it.

IMO, I'd have this one repaired correctly. ABS is not really anything you'd want to mess around with. The only time ABS INOP should show up in which you'd ignore it is when you're on the dyno. Your ASR and ABS work together, so like it or not, you may have to pull things apart because at the end of the day, they aren't just an annoying light making you shift or keeping the smog nazi's away.

The guy that installed it said he would put it back in if I can get the reluctor ring off the open differential. So I guess ill see if I can get it off somehow. I would really like to keep my ABS if I could.

You can always buy a new one if it came down to it.

I want to emphasize that this is not a case of simply a light. Your ABS is not working without that ring.

Place some black electrical tape over them until repairs are made.

Yes but the PCM is where those codes come from, these come from the BCM. I do not believe it is as simple to tune out, like I don't think HPTuners has access to the BCM.
