Yeah I drive through death valley on my way to Cali and Vegas and back in 110+ degrees all the time and mine never even bumps pass the middle marker. THAT IS NOT NORMAL AND A COOLER WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE

On any vehicle that is getting too hot it is a short list of things to check. All fluid levels, thermostat, fans, water pump, oil pump. If it is forced injection you can add a few more. In any case, once you get everything operating as GM intended I would still look into extra cooling considering your climate. I spent five years in Vegas (Nellis) and Uncle Sam made sure I spent a bit of time in the middle east as well. They do not compare at all. We broke a record a couple years back in Vegas for one day we almost got to 120. His car will see 130 every day for weeks at a time! Trust me on this one,,, it is different.

You did notice his guages are in celsius also............so, 140c = 284f....that could be normal in that heat. Mine has hit 240f+ at times.
Car has an oil cooler already........maybe bigger/better one?

That's good to hear. Glad its working better.

I can't imagine living where you do. I do weather forecasts for your part of the world. To those of you from Arizona or So Cal who commented about how it is just as hot where you live...quite frankly, you don't know what heat is. Your records are a typical day in some of those Arabian cities. And for some of the coastal cities like Dubai, even though it almost never rains, the air can actually be quite humid at times in addition to the temperatures.

I find it astonishing that cars can run at all in that heat. Those official temperature numbers that often reach into the 110s or higher in the Mideast are usually taken at something like 10 feet off the ground or so. Imagine how much hotter it must be about a foot above a blacktop road cooking in direct sunlight. That's what the radiator and engine are sitting in.

110 is 110 regardless of where its at...humidity only affects living things ability to cool...it FEELS warmer to us, but to a car, its still 110.
