The fuse-pull to reset the ECM. Never experienced this issue until this week. Finally got a bad tank of "93 octane".

That's another story and emails have been sent.

But, man this car is slow running on the lower tables. I mean, an average V8, at best.

I ran the tank low and filled with Shell 93. Already made a little difference, but fuse pull coming tonight.

There is no software upgrade for this after 3+ years?

All in all, it's good to see the majority of complaints limited to a relatively small number of issues.

Oh, and people who buy convertibles aren't allowed to complain about limited trunk space. That's just silly. You bought a convertible. It is what it is. You want to see useless? See what happens with a 3-series convertible or an SLK or anything with a folding hardtop. Zero trunk space with the top down. As in actually, literally, zero.

Seems to me if you buy a Camaro convertible as a daily driver then your biggest (and only) complaint, aside from outright mechanical failures, should be that you bought a Camaro convertible as your daily driver. A man's gotta live with the results of his own actions.

Not true. The 2008 Malibu debuted with the 252 hp HF V6, and no new GM model since then has came with the 3.5 HV V6.

GM had been in the process of phasing that engine out since 2007.

There was never a plan to put the HV engine family in the Camaro, not to mention Zeta was never engineer to accept this engine family, which has also never been used in a RWD application.

the only flaws i see are two they can't fix. weight, and visibility/ high beltline.
everything else that might be a flaw they've been addressing year by year.

I agree with a lot of folks suggestions. Its the little things that can make the biggest difference. Im not into redesigning the whole car. I love this car...heck, everyone that sees this car loves it and feel the need to tell so. It is a vert and it is my daily driver. I have never bought a car to sit in the garage so the next owner will have a low milage car. Screw him. I take meticulous car of my rides, but i drive 'em!

My list:
* Interior lighting - need selectible color choices, add one in the glove box, add some to the vanity mirrors, add some in the back for passengers
* Not sure about the coupes, but the vert sun visors are useless. The RX8 had unique sun visors that worked remarkably well. They were perferated. You could see the stop lights through them, but the sun still got blocked.
* Internal storage - need some, dont even have an ashtray to put loose change in...My RX8 had hidden compartments everywhere. pretty handy.
* Cup holders - could use some in the back.
* Exterior mirrors should auto angle down when put in reverse...she's got a donk and its a bit hard to see the curbs when backing in to a spot. They should fold in when parked too.
* My wife's Altima coupe has the key fob that never has to come out of ur pocket to open doors, trunk, and start the car. Pretty sweet.
* Option for a hard top vert would be very nice. Im sure Chevy can maintain the aggressive appearance of the camaro with a hard top.
* When dropping the top, the close out pannel (tonnue (sp?) cover) should be incorporated into the operation of the lid (like the 1 & 3 series BMW). Instead of taking up room in the trunk and can be installed manually ...if you have a friend with you ; )

Ride safe!

I am pretty sure we all love the camaro, which is why we bought one. I would buy one again in a heartbeat. As with anything else, there's always room for improvement. I am hoping for a 6.2L v-8 with direct injection.

Give us t-tops with the 6th gen. When I used to drive my '94 on a regular basis, when the weather was nice all I could think about was getting out of work so I could pop my t-tops off and cruise in my car. While I still enjoy cruising in the 5th gen, with the porthole windows and lack of t-tops, it's not the same... it's rather anti-climatic.

Trunk--opening is a pain, lots of room inside trunk, and the passenger seat,(not power) which has been done, Overall an awesome car.

Let me start by saying I totally love my 2011 Camaro 2LT. That said their are two things Chevrolet could have done a better job with; first would be a better sounding exhaust system on the V6, second is softer interior plastic and real chrome around the instrument clusters.

I wish the dash panels had been color matched to the exterior of all cars. I want to change mine from the off-white cloth to Red Jewel Tint, but you can only find them in White, Black, Orange, and Yellow.

That stupid cloth shows dirt too easy and is pretty much impossible to clean. First time I had the car cleaned, they armor-all'd the dash and made the cloth look like crap.

Since I am single and do not have a pile of kids or soccer mom gear to haul around, I did not think I should have to buy a 4 door or minivan to hold a few bags of groceries or a 3rd passenger on rare occassions. As I have already stated, few people in this economy can afford to buy a Camaro to use as a toy and an additional vehicle to use daily. If it cannot be used practically daily, it will not stay in production long.

Plenty of convertibles in the past managed to have both style and storage/passenger space. Seems like car manufacturers seem to have forgotten how to do a lot of things that were done in the past. Like seat backs that easily fold forward.

It also seems that many people on here simply cannot handle any negative comments about the Camaro. The comments I have made have been made by some car enthusiast magazines as well as other owners. But some people find it neccessary to bash people that say anything other than constant praise about the car.

1. Get rid of AFM, it's a joke.
2. Larger Sun Visors
3. Re-design the convertible top so that is WORKS without falling apart - and take care of those that unfortunately are stuck with models prior to your fix with a complete top and mechanism replacement, not some hack up job TSB with "tape" and a tube of sealant. Make's no sense to keep replacing tops on these cars with the ever common buy-backs. Just dumb.
4. PDIM that works
5. Better paint - not so damn thin, almost reminds me of the single stage crap from the 80's.
6. Painted Stripes, not the tacky stickers - make it real.
7. Find out what's going on in the manual tranny's with the 1-2 grind at rapid accel. And eliminate that annoying and dangerous 1-4 skip shift crap.
8. Develop a better customer service pipeline for warranty and design issues - this car can make or break Chevy's reputation out there, and the Customer Service is quite lacking on the Corporate end.

Holdup no one is saying you cant complain. We just notice that you seem to want a completely different car but still call it a Camaro. Kind of like those guys that could only have one car and they wanted a 911 but they still wanted to go camping and carry a bunch of gear. That my friend is how you end up with that thing they call a Cayenne. Or maybe you wanted to have friends ride with you in the back seat of you'r 911, now you have the Panamera.

OK, I know your going to accuse me of beating up on you, but I am not. What Im saying is, that it sounds like you wanted a Cadillac SRX. The SRX V6 has the same LFX power plant of the Camaro LT it also has the cargo space the rear seat room you wanted. You would have to give up the convertible top.

Now that I think of it I cant name one modern car that matches your likes. As for the older convertibles that gave you plenty of room, they also ate plenty of gas.

As for Camaro they have always been bad at trunk space and rear seat legroom that only a 17 year old could love.

But that's not why anyone buys a Camaro. We bought it because it did something to us when we looked at it, like it's own kind of magic that makes you fill good.

Paint chips kinda easily, they could have done something about that. I know they say the new generation of automotive paints aren't the same as the old one was, but friends who drive other American muscle cars don't have this problem at all.
