Difference in Cost

We are on the debate on which model of car to get we are leaning on the 1lt or 2lt and whether we should get the RS package or not. I'm just wondering how much a set of new tire cost for the 1LT, 2LT and also the LT line of the RS package??
Thanks

18'' tires are half the price of the 20s. If you get two extra 20'' rear rims you can run the same tire on all four corners, buy a cheaper brand and save money in the long run.....

whatever you do....GET the RS package.....if you don't, you will end up regretting it. The HID's alone are worth it. and if you think you can retro fit them later with factory parts, your wrong.....the cost of the lights alone are more than the entire RS package put together.

The RS package really changes the appearance of the car. I've known a lot of guys who get one without it, and they always end up wishing they had gotten the RS added. Of course, there are people who get different rims and headlights and such but, for the price of RS over retrofitting you can't beat the deal. Bottom line: Get the RS package!

A 2LT with RS is probably really close to the price of an SS. Depends if you want all the bells and whistles, or the raw power of a V8. I'd go with a 1SS RS if it's within your budget.

We really love the look of the RS package it's just the cost of the 20inch tires when you replace them and being two difference sizes there's no deals on those when buys new one unlike buying all four of the same size.
How much does it normally cost to replace all four with the RS package?

It will cost about $1000 to replace the staggered fitment. If you buy 2 used 20x9 polished wheels approx $400 you can go with a cheaper tire. I sell Nexens 2754020s installed for about $600. Now with that set up you can rotate your ties and save more $$$$$

Totally Agree 100%. The RS package is the best bang for the buck!

I saw that one poster above said to use 4 rear wheels for making all the tires the same, I believe its actually the oppisite, you need to run 4 front sized wheels to have it work, the rears will be too wide to turn in the fenderwells.

Get the RS! If you're worried about the tires, just start putting a little change away each paycheck and by the time you need new tires you'll have the money

I just bought my 2SS RS a couple weeks ago and just this past Saturday had same size as original new tires installed for $840 (I get $130 back in rebates also though.)

I figure that I'll sell my OEM tires for around $600 (and mine has about 6,000 miles on them since the car was a dealer demo).

After rebates, cost is about $110 to replace with new all weather tires.

I didn't think it was too bad.

get the RS package........it makes your car look like the top SS .....ive got the 2lt I did not want a car without leather seats....the only thing i do not have is the big motor .....so my car looks just like the top 38,000.00 SS cars with all the bells and whistle for less....the wheels also were a plus ,got the 20 with the package...

I believe the rears will work on the front. Plenty of people have done the swap.

Hmm I didnt know that , Thanks
But it would probly still be less expensive to buy the smaller tires for the front wheels. Ive never seen any with rears on it all around, just curious what that would look like.

Maybe I am only one of the few on this board that don't like the RS package.I ordered my AGM 2SS without it. I do not like the Halos-the HID's will be more expensive to replace when they go out-my car is a dark color,so the sharkfin the same color as the car did not matter too me-plus I have true fog lights. But hey,if you like the RS package, then by all means get what you want.

Same thing here......not a fan of the Halos, folks in here say it make the car look totally different, well ya it does but just about every Camaro I see has it, so how CAN that be different?
To me the regular halogens that I have on mine really look sinister to me, but that is my opinion, I strictly insisted not to have the halos, they are an expensive gimicky light/gadget IMO.
As for the tires I have hear that the Pzeros wear out about twice as fast as the 18s like the ones on my car. I drive the piss out of my car and in no way can I afford to be buying new tires every half year. I am not a big "wheel" fan either, if they look decent then I am happy, mine look really nice to me.
It's your money, if you listen to the folks in here enough I am sure they can talk you into anything, I have seen it happen so often in here.
I paid around $26k for my car and it is EXACTLY how I want it, I wouldnt change a thing on it. It is all about what YOU want.

Thanks! How much does it cost for you to change your 18inch tires in total?
We don't mind the regular lights. Im our opinion they aren't a must!
We are leaning on the 2LT we test drop it yesterday and it was awesome! the heads-up display is amazing!

Actually Im running 20x10s with 2754020s on all four corners. The wider tire and wheel on the front gives amazing cornering....

Probably cost you $500-$600....BFG is usually the cheapest.

Another non RS fan here, Don't forget the bigger brakes are more money as well to replace.

2LT all the way the door panels are illuminated the heated leather seats are great, the gage package is kind of useless though. The heads up display is sweet.

Pro's of RS package
HID's
Larger wheels & tires
Handles better
resale should be better
Brembo brakes stop much better
body color roof ditch moldings

Pro's of LT package
Fog lights that actually work like fog lights
tires can be rotated and cost less to replace
Softer ride
less initial purchase price
less expensive brake jobs
starting 2012 all Camaros have the RS tinted tail lamps and rear spoiler

Anyone else chime in on pros and cons?

I don't think the brakes change until you get to the SS model.

I don't have the RS package and couldn't care less. I really don't like halos. HIDS with projectors aren't a huge deal to retrofit
