I just added a thread for our "Racers' Run" on April 28. Travis has proven that he is fast in the corners as well as on the strip. What about the rest of you? Or just join us on the run.

If you're looking for something to do this Sunday, May 20, join us for the Corvette Dreamin' All Chevy car show at Liberty Station. It is open to all Chevys (as the name implies). It's a people's choice show, with a class for '97 and newer Chevys and a customs class. I'll be there with my '63 Corvette split-window coupe.
Meet us at the Corvette Diner between 7:15 and 7:30 am and we'll drive to the show site together. Craig

While some of us prepare for Buttonwillow this weekend, there is news regarding the next event of the Angelwings Tech Extreme Speed Pony Car Track Day Series.
We've scheduled two events back-to-back: Willow Springs (big track) on Sat. Aug. 11 and Streets of Willow on Sun. Aug. 12. But we've been informed by Extreme Speed Track Events (the event organizer) that the Aug. 11 date has been canceled. It's disappointing, because I thought it would be a great chance to get in a lot of track time without doing a lot of travelling. I have an alternate plan. Another organizer, Shift-Sector has offered us our own run group at Streets of Willow on that Saturday, Aug. 11. To make it worthwhile, I need to get a commitment from at least 12 participants. The cost will range between $90 and $150, depending upon how many participate. We can run as many as 20 in the group. The Sunday, Aug. 12 event will be at Streets as planned. BOTH DAYS WILL COUNT TOWARD THE SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP. So in one weekend, you can pick up as many as 20 points in your division. Streets of Willow doesn't have the high speeds of the big track, but it is great fun and a good track for first-timers. My signature photo was taken there (thanks, Mark!) on Dec. 31. If you are interested in joining us for the Saturday, Aug. 11 track day, I need to hear from you ASAP!! Yes, I realize it's over 2 months away, but to get the run group, I need to be making the deal very soon. Craig

Taking a break from track days until it cools down a bit. Come join me at our Main Street America People's Choice Car Show on July 22nd, right on the bay at Embarcadero Park North.

Get in touch with Rob and Lars to have them organize the Socal Camaro 5 group if you have room for a bunch of Camaros. If they can muster up 30 for a cruise, I suspect you might have a new big group for MSA. All, For those that don't know, MSA is an absolutely AWESOME event put on by Craig and the folks of COCSD. Proceeds benefit a local charitable organization for the blind. Show is a blast and is in an awesome location. Great day of fantastic cars and car people. Let's see if the Camaro group can overtake the Miata boys and girls this year. Oh, and there might be a Corvette or two there as well. ![]() Travis

We have 20 registrations from the SD Miata Club (so far), so overtaking them would be a challenge. But I know that SoCal Camaro 5 Family can do it. Right now, the Mustangs far outnumber the Camaros in the early and late model Pony Car classes. We can't have that, now can we?
