Thumbs up Coming to Chicago week of C5 fest3

Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I are planning to stay in Chicago for a few days before going down to Indianapolis for the Fest and for a couple of days after. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what to do, Like must see places for sightseeing and places to experience. Also, any recommendations for great Blues music would be great too. This will be out first visit to the Windy City so we aren't fimiliar with anything.

We are arriving on the 31st of July and then we will be driving down to Indy on the 2nd of August (still looking for a rental - haven't found anyplace that we could rent a Camaro :( , or even a CTS-V ) We are coming back to Chi-town the 5th and departing on the 7th. I'm looking forward to any suggestions and if anyone is willing to get together, that would be great too.

I'm really excited about going to the Fest being that it's my first time too ( why do I feel like a virgin all of a sudden ) and seeing all the cars and meeting good people and watching the events.
Thanks

Patrick

PS we are in our early 50's if that helps (Yea for some of you that's old )

My wife's family owns a nice restaurant called the Fireplace Inn. Great Ribs and Sauce !
1448 N. Wells it is located in Old Town. There are comedy clubs and some great little shops on the street. Only 2 blocks from the lake. Let me now if you need a reservation and I will take care of it for you. 1st Drink is on me !! Enjoy your trip and I will see you in Indy, if not Chicago first.

Thanks Zeus for the info. I will let you know ahead of time before we arrive about the reservation. Looks like a great place to eat and have drinks. You got a beautiful camaro, I like the IOM, it's my 2nd fav. color . With that exhaust you have on there I'm sure it sounds as bad@ass as it looks. Again, thanks for the kind invitation and look forward to seeing you in Chicago or Indy.

Reserve a table at the Signature Room in the John Han**** building. The food is decent but the view is amazing (96th floor). Ask for a table by the window overlooking the lake. Or they also have a lounge if you just want to stop by there for a nightcap.

Navy pier is always a nice place to enjoy the weather. Bubba Gump shrimp is a nice restaurant there.

If you have time to visit any of the museums you won't be disappointed.

You'll love Chicago. We are just a clean and friendlier New York.

You are all fired...

#1 Lou Malnati's - Avoid Giordanos, it's tourist trash. - http://www.yelp.com/biz/lou-malnatis-pizzeria-chicago
#2 Hot Doug's - NOTE THE HOURS, and be prepared to wait an hour outside. - http://www.yelp.com/biz/hot-dougs-chicago
#3 (if rich) Alenia - http://www.yelp.com/biz/alinea-chicago

Home run Inn makes the best pizza in town.
You have to try Gene & Jude's - Voted the best hot dogs in the country.

The beauty of life is everyone has different tastes. I'm curious what other pizza places you have tried and your thoughts on them...
