Broke on the first pass of the day...that's ok though....we had a new one built today and the car is back in action tonight. We'll be in the 9.0 index of 5th gen tomorrow so hoping to get at least 1 or 2 good runs out of it before we're done.

Racing is fun...

I just wish the frickin shaft could have broken at either of the 2 track rentals we had recently. Life goes on...could have been much worse I guess.

Yeah, mine could have given up the ghost this coming Monday, but no...

But it did last about 150 passes with bolt-ons and then cam, and I think 50 passes with the ProCharger. It was due.

But the event has been great. I've got lots of pics I've been posting in the LSX Challenge #2 thread cited above.

Yeah....I thought we were done but Tommy Hendrix stepped up and tracked down Frank for us and the ball started rolling. We don't stand a chance against the index tomorrow without having made even a single time trial pass but if we can pop a new low number then it will be worth it.

Hot Rod Power Tour is awesome. Will be getting a ride in the Nickey Chicago Camaro tomorrow. Met the owner today, awesome guy! Saw Kelly (with the Veteran 1) and he's sold about 200+ more tickets today. I've met lots of 5th Gen owners and may have a new mod to show y'all next time I see you. I also now know why you can't find supercharger kits for the V6:(. Toured Lingenfelter last night...........WOW! That is quite a collection of cars............

My laptop is not working right now, so I'll try to post some pics tomorrow...... By the way, if you EVER get a chance to drive on the GM Proving Grounds............do it..........

Best was a 12.35 @ 114 mph. That was just on the P Zeros so I was taking it real easy in 1st and a little easy in 2nd. Still have a few bugs to work out but I think it will be a 11 second car with stock tires and a very conservative, pump gas tune.

I hated to see Padre hurt his trans. Looked like he was going to try to limp thru the real street race but probrably did the smart thing and parked it. I missed winning the 13.0 bracket in real street by .007. My 3 run average was 13.019 and got beat by a 13.012

Was glad Huffers car got back on track as well. It was haulin Arss!!! Since we were still having a few issues, I stayed home Sunday rather than take a chance on hurting something for no good reason.

ah crap, my belair's rolling stock won't be ready by then. I was kinda hoping the new tires might be on by then and I could try to make it down there with it. (it's really in no condition but at least with 2 new tires my chances of a blowout are 50% of what they used to be. )

I had already dialed in a 12.50 Saturday before I left. I thought about putting the Drag Radials on, coming back Sunday and just taking it easy but decided against it. I guess I'll take lower 12's for as conservative as the car was performing.

Hope you get yours back out soon. Any definite problem found yet?
