When I bought my 1LS a rock from a dump truck cracked my windshield not every 100 ft from pulling out of the dealership.

Then when I bought my 2SS I couldn't stop smiling...still haven't. I feel like the enzyte guy

When I bought my 5.0, it was a really crappy weak for weather. I dove it straight home from the dealership (less than 3 miles), parked it in the garage, and didn't get it out again for 4 or 5 days.:(

Got home from AIT (army) and went to a dealer and bought a car (used sentra) 18y

signed papers on a old S10 drove it to work and quit my job. 20y

drove all day dealer to dealer to find my avalanche 28y bought it drove home and took a nap.

cleaned out the garage (never done that before) and went and picked up my baby 10 2SS. 32y

I bought my car at a dealership four hours from home, half way to my sister's house in NC. Went to her house for the weekend. Me and the bro-in-law were looking over the car and.... wait.... where the hell's the battery? Looked hard for several minutes under the hood, saw the red pos cap/post but nothing else. He got the book manual out to find it was in the trunk.

Hmm.. When I bought my Lotus Elise and went to pick it up at the factory, the dealer (Lexus dealer also) came to pick me, and the other guy that bought an Elise as well, up in an LS400.

On the way back, waiting to cross the channel with the "EuroTunnel", about 10 guys were discussing about our cars...

I overheard their conversation, then suddenly said "but hey, that Lexus next to it, THAT is a real car"...

They went ballistic at me, giving me all kind of arguments why the Elise was such a great car.

I then took the key from my pocket, opened mine and said "thank you" and drove off...

Maybe not weird, but fun to see the look on their faces LOL

Years and years ago I bought a 95 Z28. On my way home I drove down this one road and accidentally ran over a squirrel. After that I had some very bad luck with that car. The night I bought the SS I was on my way to drop my little brother off and I noticed I was at the same point in the road where I saw that squirrel run out all those years ago. Luckily no squirrel this time.

if you want to call it odd, when I brought my SS home and parked it in the garage, I got my beach chair out and sat there for hours just staring at my awesome Camaro, I think I was there all night, but it was such a great day/night.
