LOL! Nice job, my friend! Best looking IOM convertible I've ever seen!
Haha, this was probably the funniest post of the week! Thanks for the chuckle...got a real kick out of it! Believe it or not, I used to drive a Grand Caravan for about 8 years, when Dodge redesigned it in 1995. Although, I've been a sports car lover ever since I bought an '85 300ZX right out of college...but most of us still need those "other" vehicles (vans and SUVs) for practical purposes.

Thanks, AJ! Looks like you got your ice metallic Camaro. Did you trade in the ABM V6 and get a 2SS?

Yeah, you really have to be careful with this Razzi kit, even if you don't lower your car. I love the side skirts because they are very unique as compared to other brands. However, I feel like buying several pounds of clay to design my own rear diffuser! Razzi wouldn't listen to me when I offered to fly up to Ohio to help them redesign it to improve it. I KNOW I can do one better. I've scraped the rear diffuser three times already and it wasn't my fault, two of which damaged it by cracking the right rear corner! You cannot see the damage in these photos, since I tried to hide it with certain angles. The chin spoiler never scraped, but the factory guard below the radiator got scratched up; although no real damage to it. The chin spoiler did get scratched when I pulled into my garage one time (something got moved and I didn't realize it). This also needs to be repaired. I am hoping to get all of this done next week.

Thanks, Doc! I think the matte black on the trunk alcove would be a great idea. It will look very nice with your rally yellow!

Thanks everyone for the nice COTW comments! I had no idea about this distinction until this afternoon when a fellow C5 member friend of mine emailed me about it. This is quite an honor to be the COTW! I never expected it. I have to give credit to all of you wonderful C5 owners who spend a lot of money trying new ideas. It really peaked my creativity. I also have to thank my two sons who I bounced ideas off of. If they didn't give me a thumbs up about an idea I had, then I didn't do it. I guess they have good taste. I only posted my photos to give everyone a chance to see what my car looks like in case they were pondering the same modification ideas. Hope this helps open a few eyes that weren't sure before. Good luck to everyone in their mods. PM me if you have any questions whatsoever. ~Jeff

Few questions:
1.) Where did you get the GFX package(website)?
2.) Where did you get your brake vents made functional?
3.) How does the
Exhaust Diverter System work?
4.) Was that spoiler a GM aftermarket part? (I think you stated that but not sure)

Also, congrats on getting COTW!

Looks killer.

Car looks great! Nice job. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the rear diffuser, and the geographic location of the car. I figure if I park next to you, my car could absorb some of your sswag through osmosis. :-)

Thanks for your post! Sure, I'll try to answer your questions.

1. The body kit is from Razzi and it's sold by many vendors. I bought mine from Jason at PhastekPerformance.com.
• Razzi Camaro V8 Ground Effects Kit (P/N 130-100)

2. As mentioned in my thread, the rotors came from Brakeperformance.com and they work great (see part #'s below):
• Cross-Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors (Brakeperformance.com P/N CB-62124 F & CB-62119 R)

3. Regarding the exhaust diverter system, I will need to refer you to Steve Koenig, the owner of NoWeeds.net at (605) 830-1146 or stevekoenig@noweeds.net. He can explain how his system works. It is more difficult to install his system in a convertible like mine, due the extra frame braces, but it is possible (more labor involved). If you visit his website, you can watch some videos about it on Youtube.

4. Yes, the rear spoiler is made by GM. However, when the body shop deinstalled the previous spoiler, they also removed the old AM antenna and tried to reinstall it inside my trunk lid. Unfortunately, the AM Radio doesn't work anymore as a result. The problem is that this antenna wasn't designed to work through metal (only plastic or fiberglass). I just wished he reinstalled the antenna inside the new spoiler, then I would not have had a problem with the radio. So now I am working on a solution to correct this issue. C5 MEMBERS: I AM OPEN TO IDEAS (please)!

Thanks....yeah, they asked me to send them photos after the new rotors were installed. Coverking also asked for photos, then they shipped me a product at no charge.

Thanks for all the info.

One clarification I wanted to make was I didn't mean the brake rotors, I meant the physical fender vents.

From the pictures yours seem to be made functional, and that is what I was curious about.

Sorry, when you said "brakes", I assumed you meant the rotors. The fender gills are not functional; they were custom painted to look real. I've actually seen some painters make them look even better!

Thumbs up

Haven't checked out all the pics or even all the mods yet, really just took a quick glance at the first coupla pics so far...

Just wanted to drop a note to say that for a very involved, complex project Gen 5, yours looks especially well thought-out. Great job!

Thanks for sharing!

Once you acquire enough SWAGG, the SWAGG Committee mails you a membership form and you are eligible for recruitment. Hehe, kidding.

There are a few sites that do this. Such as them. Not sure where OP got his from.

I love the look of your vert, best I've ever seen. So do you still have your original rear spoiler. Is it the one that goes over the rear fenders?
