I think once you've done every mod possible you'll get bored and move on to a car like your neighbor has

And start all over:(

I wish!!! Hahahaha. He has a HUGE paycheck and can buy those cars cash, and he modifies them and brings them to Sema every year. He only keep shis car for 12 months (sometimes a tad more if the new one doesn't come), and sells it for a brand new one. I need his job. Lol

Thanks a ton Lupe!! I truly appreciate that . It's still a work in progress, but then again I'm not sure I'll ever say or feel it's "complete". Lol

You have an AMAZINGGGG ride my friend. I loved checking our your pics, and your paint work, and mods for all us members are truly a work of art, as well as for a great price. Keep it up and I'm lucky (I'm sure others feel the same way) you and your business is here for all of us Camaro owners.

Hopefully I'll receive some new products I ordered. I've even wanting them for some time now, but never ordered it.

•One item I purchased a never been opened SCT programmer from a Camaro5 member who didn't use it with his magnacharger (it came with the SC as part of the kit). From my understanding, I should be able to load my custom tunes to it just as normal. It was a price I couldn't refuse. This will help tremendously when switching maps come smog time.

•I ordered a white hydrocarbon dipped fuse box cover. This will spruce up the engine bay a bit, especially since I'm not done with my lighted engine core yet. So, the new fuse box will do. Hopefully the pattern I chose looks good.

•Lastly, I ordered a leather wrapped arm rest. It will be white leather with black double stitching. This will contrast perfect with my gloss black center console and white console side kick panels. Thanks Lupe (aka overhaulengines).

Yo TCAT I got the VIS hood on, fit is real good! The rain guards do a pretty good job when washing the car I just threw a few towels over the airbox just incase. Just wondering man I feel like I have to put a little more umph for the hood to latch vs stock but it does just fine. You find that with yours?

SWEET!! Congrats man! I hope you love it. The rain guards do a perfect job when washing the car as long as you don't drench one particular vent with the water. After the car is dry, I take the rain guards off ASAP. For someone that will daily drive the car and in a rainy location, this hood is definitely not for them even with the rain guards on.

I do find I have to latch it a little harder than normal, even though it's not extreme. I figured it was due to the slight decrease in weight. There isn't a huge difference, but likely enough weight to alter the pressure needed to close. Once it's closed it seems good to go though.

I def love it man the fit is very good it sits a little lower then the fascia but that's the best I could get it. Yeah the towel wasn't even wet after washing. Yeah the rain guards look easy to remove just two screws I might just leave them on. I couldn't get the washer fluid sprayers off the stock hood so I hope I don't hit too many bugs lol.

Yeah it's probably the weight I have to kinda shove it down lol but once it latches it seems good to go. Lines up perfectly man line in the hood lines up with the bumper.

Hell yeah! It looks great. Excellent choice I must say so . The hood fits great for a carbon piece.

I wonder if they changed the design of the rain guards because mine have 6 screws on each rain guard that need to be removed to take them off. Some are a pain to reach, but overall it's still easy and not to time consuming. The heat under the hood is much different with the guards off though. I try to only have them on when I wash the car because in the summer time, the car runs even better with those vents doing their job at maximum effectiveness with the guards off.

Your car is kicking ass bud and I can't wait until we get that bumper!

Thanks Scott!! Truly appreciated . I have definitely seen your ride on Camaro5, and it's one of the nicest synergy green Camaro's around. I LOVE the scheme you chose especially with the nose art. Now that's great taste right there. I was wondering who owned that car, and it's you. Haha. I've only see pictures of other members posting it I believe.

Thanks a ton bud! You are soooo right, the modding truly never stops. When I start to slow down, I think of something else to add to the list. I can't wait until the new front bumper goes on. Camaro5 is definitely adding to the mod madness, lol . I really appreciate the compliments! I'm definitely having a great time, as this is my first heavily modified car. What an amazing journey.

Speaking of badass cars, I can never stop looking at your kick ass build thread. That car is just an absolutely beastacular! I fell in love with it when I first saw it in person at the Turbonetics event last July. I believe I say it in person before I even knew you were on Camaro5. The engine alone and how it looks and set-up is forever engraved in my mind, ha-ha. I loves it do much I wanted eat off of it. It looked beautiful. What's your new mod. plans for the car in future?

I went to a great car show today that I never knew existed, and it's their 23rd annual. Ha-ha. They had a great mix of classic and new-age vehicles with lots of custom work, as well as dragsters. It was held in Burbank most of the day from 8-3pm. There's lots of great people, and a ton of entertainment/activities and cars to keep yourself busy for a while.

I was fortunate enough to win an award today. It was the "Firefighters Choice" award. A particular firefighter came up to me and said he was looking at my car the whole show, and wanted to chose it as his pick for the award. He explained that he is looking into getting a Camaro, particularly a ZL-1. So, I explained to him all the perks of ours cars, the platform, pricing, modifications, etc., and he definitely wants one now. Lol. He was a great guy and lives in my valley. It's a small world for sure. I also met a Camaro5 member there which I've known for a while now. It's always great seeing you Tom. Thanks for coming out!

Here's a picture of the plaque award (they did a great job on it):

Right now the plan is to get it home so it can be DRIVEN... A 3 year wait is long enough. Over the winter will swap on the 6 bolt heads but other than that nothing crazy.

Congratulations on your award !! Nice job.

Thanks man! The bumper is gonna make both of our cars hit the next level, lots of trophies ahead of you sir . Made me a bit nervous on the way to work today all 8 miles of it I guess because the hood is a bit lighter than stock it shakes a bit when I drive lol I thought it was gonna fly off

Congrats on the win too!

Thanks a ton!

I know exactly what you mean. The hood certainly flexes and moves more than the stock one, ha-ha. It made me nervous too. It is technically an off-road hood, as many aftermarket hoods are, and hood pins are recommended. However, it's tough for me to decide if I actually want to drill into my hood and use pins. It's a tough call because it adds safety without a doubt, but looses a lot of aesthetic appeal. I know if I was at the race track a lot I would definitely have pins.

Alright, Adam's is having a 15% off discount for all orders before June 17th for Fathers Day. I couldn't pass up this deal. So, I emailed Dylan at Adam's and we built a custom Porter Cable polishing package. I already have some of the polishes so I didn't need absolutely everything. I ordered the Basic Porter cable kit that retails for $239.95, but got it cusomized (deleted and added stuff I needed) for the stuff I needed, and it totalled $203.95.

Here's what I had them include:

-Porter cable with backing plate
-Swirl & Haze remover polish pad, Fine machine polish pad, Machine super sealant polish pad
-Fine machine polish 16oz, Machine super sealant polish 16oz
-Detailing clay bar

I'm going make my car absolutely swirl free and car show ready. That's the goal at least. Lol

Gumby you can't hurt the paint with a pc. You need one.

Tommy that's a good deal. I bought a kit at chemical guys on Sunday. I have only done my Hood which I posted a pic in my thread. Easy to use but takes time, results are awesome. Chemical guys gave me some free towels and Polish too and discounted some sealant too.

Check chemicalguys. Com. They have really good sales on towels and stuff. Wacky one day deals, I bought like 4 dozen good microfiber towels for like $30 lol

Thanks man! I'll definitely be careful, but I actually chose the PC instead of a rotary buffer because it's virtually impossible to mess up the paint unless your in one spot all day long. Lol

I'll definitely post pics. when I do the paint correction.

Thanks Steve. I viewed their website a day ago and it looked like they had some awesome stuff for a great price. I'm loving that price on the boatload of microfiber towels, lol. That's my type of deal! Your paint came out fantastic man. That hood looks absolutely brand new!
