Cadence Beast 10" Subs

Wanting to add some more bass to my car and putting a box is next on my list. I have a friend that is selling 2 cadence beast 10" subs for $150. I have been to a couple of shops and can't seem to get a straight answer on the quality of these subs. Matter of fact by the time i'm ready to leave they are trying to sell me the complete set up. I really like the look of the cadence, but don't really know car stereo equipment. I want to leave all factory except the box and amp. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Does that $150 cover subs and box? I have seen those subs for $35-40 each.

Anyway, Cadence (from my research) looks to be a bargain brand. They probably perform a little above their price range from the rep I have seen. The specs I have found on the Beast series looks like they were pretty good for the money (500W RMS - 1kw peak). They also appear to be pretty well constructed.

The reason shops won't give you a straight answer is because you came in with a cheap brand - audio shops are funny about brands

Pair those Beasts up to a quality amp and you should be good to go.
