Anyone order the carbon fiber hood insert and not get it? I ordered a 13 ZL1 Vert today with the carbon fiber hood insert and my sales guy told me that there's no guarantee I'll get it. He says it's not always available it depends on when my car is built.

I would wager your dealer is saying that based on the experience some of us had with the early carbon hood being constrained which then turned into the black insert being unavailable and everybody having to get the carbon hood insert regardless of what they ordered. I imagine that by the time they are build your car they will have ironed out all the supply problems and there wont be any issues. They are going with ashen grey to replace the flat black option in 2013 but its still the carbon insert under the paint so there really isnt a good reason why it should be scare
