Phastek installation of DSS 1000HP axles

Here are some pics of the DSS 1000HP rated axles we recently installed.

Just after removing the tires lol

Pic of the stock axle before removing

Pic of the front side after removing the caliper and securing it away

Remove the bolts holding the lower and upper control arms and tie bar and trailing arm. although in the picture the bottom strut bolt is removed it isn't neccessary

Remove the knuckle normally it's best to remove the rear brake cable. In our case, we lowered the car on the rack and supported the knuckle assembly

Remove the stock axle

Difference between the two axles stock and DSS

Install in the reverse order of the above and you get

Rinse, wash, and repeat for the other side and completed project and added peace of mind that you now have axles that can handle the added HP of a forced induction setup or all motor setup

Just Installed my DSS 1000hp axles today and I have a question.

Probably nothing but I noticed the stepped edge, I pointed out with an
arrow, does not go into the dust seal like the factory axles. The Oil seal is good to go....Maybe because they are intended to be "RACE" only?Seems like a good place for water and junk to collect.

They are seated all the way and it seems they should.Anybody else notice this or am I missing something here?

I may have answered my own question...This pic is of the 1400hp axles.

See how the area I pointed to on the 1000hp axles is not designed to ride on a seal...at least that is what I'm seeing.

no, they didn't go all the way into the dust seal here either.

Thanks Man for answering my question.
It just looked like it could from the machined diameter.

My axles are good...no leaks either!
