Mine is doing that as well. Have had no issues with it wanting to fly off though, up to 80mph anyway, windows down. I will be taking it in for the "satisfaction recall" top fixes next week and will be requesting a new cover.

On second thought...don't.
Let us not forget what a run away tonneau cover could do to someone riding a motorcycle....

We almost bought a new 2011 from a dealership and I noticed this problem on the cover - it had never been used. We ended up buying a 2012 a few weeks ago and it shows NO signs of this problem (yet).
Dealership said they knew of a customer who lost his 2011 cover at just over 100 mph.

yup mine is doing it too. I dont use the dammed thing because it wont stay on, and I dont want to constantly have to look in the rear mirror to see if its ganna fly off and hit another car.

I would love for them to replace this piece of junk cover. When I go to shows, I would like something covering the top, ive had to clean bird crap off a few times becuase its not covered.

I'm assuming you have the old style. I haven't had trouble with mine coming off. Be sure the clips actually clip on the bolts. The new one has bungy chords instead of clips. Someone on this forum added a strip of velcro on the front side where it tucks behind the back seat.

If you are still in warranty have them replace it. The tonneau was redesigned for 2012 and stays put a lot better than the 2011 tonneau.

Mine is fine so far. Only used it once though. It does have the bolts and did just fine at 70mph.

New Tonneau Cover

On the 24th picked up my new cover to replace the Delaminated/bubbled original. 1st one worked perfect at speeds up to 140 with NO lift/pull. Great design. New one even came with little rubber booties on the pointed front insert part..and a diagram of install/take-off /storage. It should all be this easy.

picked up a new tonneau cover today. This one is the new model with the bungee cords.I find it harder to put on and off than the clip method that was on the original.
Hopefully this one won't delaminate. It seems the material used on the new one is different also.

Do you find that using the tonneau helps with the rubbing and pinching or does it cause more problems?
