I used to go out there back in the day but it started getting a little too wild for me. Besides, getting older so I feel out of place.

Well if it isn't raining me and some of my boys and another member are probably going out. I just go to hang out and admire the needle in haystack nice cars as well as laugh at the farter Hondas.

Mike is right, Black helicopters in the air with infrared viewing.....that and the Gandy are sure ways to get busted.

That and street racing is beyond stupid. Loss of license, jail. Possible loss of car and worse yet you or innocent people are killed.

Belongs on the track not on a public causeway.

Didnt realize they still raced there. I thought the SO and their helicopters ran them off years ago. Cars used to line both sides of the road. Quite a site for sure.

Psh I don't race there. Out of 300 cars you might see two Hondas accelerate to 40 every 20 minutes. I park by camaros and other americans and check out everyone's car. Like a after meet meet except its 99% puerto ricans for some reason. If its all rice bowl I park next to the people fishing and watch the bikes race.

The only issue I have with coming out and spectating is that you can still get a ticket for participating. Would be cool just to hang but from a distance.

Dave is right about street racing...keep it on the track.

Too many ricers watch the fast and the curious and don't have a clue how to drive. Let alone a car that is designed to be driven.

My crowd never hung out there, we were always at Gandy, we would race out on the bridge after the Derby lane traffic died down, this was around 1979-1985, we had a 1/4 mile measured out on the bridge, one car with folks from both racers group would go dow to the finish line, other spectators would pull off to the side and watch from behind the starting line, proud to say, we never had anyone injured.
