I would like to see a close up of the Tensioner on the Dyno.

Similar to the one I posted a few weeks ago.

I think the belt is touching itself, Been there Done that.

Once you get it all figured out then upgrade to a gator belt to give it that extra contact

I've heard about this problem. Seems like a I read something about a design that opens the blades the opposite way so this doesn't happen.

I don't know why I was thinking it was Jannetty that had a fix...

Fortunately for you, if that's the case, he is on this thread!

Jannety is talking about the TPIS 102. So far a bunch of guys are having great success with it. I am not one... Mine was having problems and has not got back to me yet.

On a engine dyno the 102 is worth 100 crankhp.

Lookng at your picture it looks like you have the ribbed side of the belt running on the smooth idler pulley, so it looks backwards to me. See attachment for illustration. Hope this helps.

With the 10 Rib set up you can not run it that way, the force on the belt is so great the belt tensioner pushes the belt against it self between the pulleys.

Hence the smoke and the start of this thread.

Watch the movie above it still comes extremely close.

This has fixed the problem, trust me it took Lot of Testing to find this combination.

Wow ok Ted, great catch then, I would have never guessed. I sure you have even tried a shorter belt to prevent them from touching as well? I want to order that same pulley kit from you soon.Keep up the good work. I will check out the video later, I am at work and youtube is blocked, we are not supposed to have fun.

The 10 rib is very limited selection on belt lengths we have to purchase a 12 rib and cut 2 ribs off to get the right length at times.
