Opinions on NT05R vs MT ET Street II on 20s

Anyone tried both of these? I have 315-35R20 NT05Rs and need to replace soon. Am considering the 305-35R20 MT ET Street IIs, but would like some opinions. It's for my 700 rwhp M6 street car that will visit strip soon. Would like to improve hook on street & strip. Btw - wheels are 11". (Thought I'd post here since it is strip/traction related.)

I would never drive MT's on the street unless there was no rain possible within 500 miles.

Don't ask me why I feel that way.

The mt's will hook better on the strip. On the street they suck. My nt555r's hooked alot better on the street than the m/t's. At the track on the m/t's, first time out I broke the differential.

You broke the differential on your A6 with just bolt ons?
Isn't Padre still running the stock drivetrain with 600+ rwhp in his A6 (1.5 sec 60'). He's also running MTs.

No. I had a 92 camaro that ran 11.40@122-124.8mph on 555r's. The rear held up until I tried to make a pass on mt's

MT ET Streets are the way to go. Just don't speed in the rain. No comparison how much better track tire they are.

With my GTO, I got caught in a light sprinkle on the highway with MT's. Slowly overtaking a truck (~60mph), the draft coming off it kicked my front end, which held (stock tires), but then sent my back end sideways. I did a 360* on the Interstate, in front of the truck and ended up in a swamp.

To this day, my GTO buds still call me the "Georgia Mud Drifter".

Dang Padre.. was that thing 4x4

I have 275/60's on my 98 with MT skinnies on the front. Not too bad on the interstate in the rain, but if it hits any water its all over the place. So I just keep it around 50 mph if I get caught in the rain. ( 9" with a locker and anti-roll bar, 6pt cage, etc etc)

I hear you. Only thing worse than driving on MTs on a damp day would be driving on a set of bald NT05Rs (is what I/m driving on now, lol).
