Awesome! Congrats and welcome. IBM is a cool color, it was my second choice. Youll love having a Hurst shifter in it. I just got mine in the other day, man, I cant believe I went 9 months without it!

Keep us posted on your mods, and PICs PICs PICs.

Yeah, I already have a shop in mind for the Hurst. I will get it most ricky-tick I think; I got a bonus check from work. To tell the truth, my dealership is the one that last year declined to install my '07 Sol GXP's GMPP turbo upgrade sensors and harnesses, and do a GM-approved ECM flash last year, and it doesn't fill me with unbridled glee and confidence in their abilities! The place I have in mind likes cars and likes their customers, and last time I talked to them, their lead tech was buying a ZL-1. The place was crawling with cool cars and pickup trucks and motorcycles

I thought you were a member here Paul.

I already christened my Camaro. Road construction in Boston, had to swing wide for the equipment and I thought I was still in my short wheelbase Solstice. Chipped up a back rim, on a granite curb

I've sanded the chips and I'm waiting for the touchup paint to dry. I'll even out the paint and then mask the area and give a little spurt with a rattle can and hand buff. Will be good as new. Maybe I can get my airbrush working. But you're not the only one who can't have something new for 24 hours without having SOMETHING happen. I guess we just can't have nice things.

Bummer. At least you didn't need to file an insurance claim like me

Already wanting more!

1SS/RS here too. Least expensive V8 and I stretched a bit as well.
Not enough for an ulcer though.

Already did that today: washed and waxed the car from 7 am to 10 am, then drove from 10:30 to 12:30.

Now I'm pricing out Hurst short-throw shifters. I hate that S&M hood shifter.

Thanks. It's a great color to be sure. The metallic flake really pops on this color. I've had a long think about something though:

My neighbor's cat loved sitting on my '07 Solstice GXP's black roof. I'll be damned if that cat scratches up my SS.

Now, I'd never hurt the cat. But I will buy catnip and pour it on my neighbor's car

That's much better than how I spent the hours of 7am - 12:30pm

I did wash & wax mine from 2:30pm - 5pm though.
