Im looking for some rims that wouldnt be as heavy as the stock rims. Not sure what color scheme would look better with the metallic and black stripes. 18's or 20's?

Ok, not as heavy? Well are you going to drag race or just looks and cruising?

I ask that because the RS 20's look really nice but are a little heavier than the ls ones because the rims are bigger. But if your not going to race then the 20s would be some nice replacements since they look good.

If your a racer, you could even swap some lt rims onto your car and not have to replace your tires. I did that and dropped over 10 lbs on each wheel... It made a huge difference at the strip.

If your not interested in stock wheels or want something else then its all your discretion since its your taste that matters.

LT rims, how much did you pay for those? I wanna be able to go toe to toe with someone if they step up. Im getting an CAI in a few days, Injen and I ordered Ark N-2 exhaust. Now just thinking about rims. I want lighter rims.

I paid 300 dollars for them on ebay. I got a great deal! I was glad I didn't have to swap out tires since that wasn't in the budget.

Now, I'm either looking at some high performance tires to cut down the 60 ft times since I want faster times at the strip or some drag radials for the strip. But in "other" environments, the lt rims and tires are perfect for me.

It honestly depends on what you want. I also like that I can rotate my tires so I get more out of my tires. Just some things you have to think about.

Okay, what would you suggest besides the LT tires?

Well if your going to stick it out with the 18" stock wheel sizes, there are very little options. There's basically the stock tires, a higher performance bf goodrich, the cooper zeon rs3-a (my choice... high treadwear rating and great reviews) and the nt555.

I'm awaiting the responses of a few members who have the rs3-a's and if they say they feel more grip then I will probably go with those since I don't really want a track only set of tires.

If you go with other wheels and other sizes, then you have a lot more options.

I appreciate it, I am looking at 20's as well. Saw the LT wheels. I want something flashy too.

Yes, the tsw's are very popular. You can even get them in 18s and 20s. Very nice wheels and aren't too bad on the wallet. Those would be my choice if I was going to change some time soon.

You can check out this website and it should show you some GM certified wheels. I hope this was a helpful site!

If you want to read about rotational mass below are two links.

Hope this helps you in your decision making process.

Perhaps 19" will get you some good looking rims and a little better performance.
