Maximizing power with stock H/C and N/A...?
Hi all! So I've done quite a bit of reading and have been trying to get some more info. Forgive me if this has been posted before, but I didn't see anything exactly like this, and have been reading this section of the forum for a few hours.
I have a '10 LS3 and have done the following: -CAI intake -Kooks 1 7/8" headers -Hi flo Kooks cats -Custom dyno tune. On a Mustang dyno, I pulled 423 RWHP and am looking for just a little bit more of a 'bump.' If possible, I'd like to hit appx 500 crank HP (just because I'm OCD like that). Near as I can tell, I'm probably at about 48X at the crank at present. I've read a ton about TB wedges, ported TBs, Tornados, Whistle Tips, etc and am skeptical. As far as I can tell, a cat-back will net only a pony or two at best, and is really more for sound on stock cubes as the stock mufflers are okay... would save weight, but that's it. Additionally, I'm thinking I might not benefit from things such as a bigger intake manifold or new TB because I don't have the cubes to back it up and the motor is breathing fine. I want to avoid digging into the motor and also want to avoid FI because this is a DD and I need it to get 'decent' mileage and stay reliable. I don't want to break anything. So I guess my question is, is there anywhere I can go to pick up the extra few ponies to get to, say, 440 RWHP? Or am I gonna have to go cam (in which case I'll just give up and keep 'er as is)? Either way, this is probably enough car for me as is as I'm not getting the most out of the power with the current set-up I have, but it's more for bragging rights, kicks and giggles and 'seat of the pants' o'meter. ![]() Thanks in advance, and again I apologize if this has been beaten to death.

The only things that I can think of wihtout tearing open the engine would be an under drive pulley and an electric water pump. And you may need both of those together. You could also loose the cats. It may be easier to get some meds to control the OCD then to get your car to 440 rwhp!! ![]() Honestly you're prob at 440 rwhp now. I would find a different dyno and just do a few pulls. The Mustangs are know to be a little low on the numbers.

There you go, ported TB and underdrive pulley, electric water pump too unless it makes you a little nervous to have on a daily driver.
Haven't seen it available for these cars, but sometimes folks in the 4th gen days did lightweight flywheels too.

EWP sure you can do it 500 bucks yes you can daily drive it why not just monitor the hours you've used it I guess.
UDP sure that's 250-400? Polished TB 150 For that money I'd just cam it, you run the same risk as if it was stock as long as its done right and you'd be knocking at 500's door for a few more bux bud.
