Slow people in slow cars are the ones that are always trying to prove how fast they are....

there are a couple of good moments... the guy in his sweet Porsche who thinks his car is really fast then u just laugh and burn him.

but i have a couple of guys around my hometown with serious ricer issues... couple of civics with loud ass exhaust and then there is the definition of a ricer... light blue POS with crazy body kit and huge wing... love burning them and laughing in there face

actually... i'm on the opposite side of the "Really?" I've had so many guys come over in the pits and tell me how they were LAUGHING AT ME until they seen me run!! I was out at the Mid America Ford & Team Shelby Nationals weekend before last (with a LOT of Boss 302s!) Saturday at the drag strip I had a group of guys come over and tell me, "When we seen you pull out on the track we went, 'A Flex? Is this some kind of JOKE? And then you took off we were HOLY SH*T'" LOL! So yeah, I cause more than a few "Really?" moments! LOL

This is by no means an insulting post, but if you only own Ford cars, why are you on a GM website?

Got ALOT of Acura TL's here tht love to try nd race on the morning commute to work, everyday trying to merge in on the highway always seems like 1 is there waiting for me to come up the ramp nd speed up so I can't get on in front of them, so I let them go nd get to the middle lane then he dives from far right to far left to cut me off nd takes of like I'll never catch up to him lol

In my camaro: late 90's honda accords for some reason and subaru wrx's and a few sti's (looked stock except for maybe exhaust) seem to always want to test me. never had a mustang or challenger try (kinda dissappointed haha).

Worst was I was driving my dad's 03 Z06 and some douchebag in a 1st gen Eagle Talon tried to race me on a two-lane road by passing me on a double yellow outside a neighborhood all the while making tons of awful noise and bellowing black smoke. I was behind him for a while and then got to a four lane area at a stop light and taught him a lesson...

I'm a little late to this thread obviously but anything can be made to be fast.

I'd beat a boss right now. And I have an SS.

I'd also beat an older Cobra and the new Shelby would be a drivers race. Turboed 4 banger. 4th Gen Z-28 yada yada yada. (all in stock trim of course)

BUT

There are little ricer cars with that high wing spoiler and stupid lights and Boss Mustangs, Cobras, Z28s yadayadayada that would spank me.

There is ALWAYS someone faster. No matter what you are driving. You can make ANYTHING fast. Yes...... there will be kids who aren't quite as savvy to know this type of stuff that have no clue about that, or don't think enough to realize it. And they are just having fun.

(don't get me wrong, it is fun to hurt their feelings if they want to persist, lol) But as long as you're willing to tip your cap to the same type of punk that actually has done something to his beater to kick your ass.

I wonder how many of us that laugh at these guys would take our 'sleeper' out and pick a battle with a faster 'stock' car to surprise them? That's the fun in being a sleeper. So be careful who you laugh at. Even if you let them pass by, you never know, they MIGHT have kicked your ass if you were the street racing type.

LMAO at the kid who asked if it was a 'real' Cobra.

Tells me one of two things. Either he's seen his share of posers and now thinks everyone is, or he IS a poser.

I'll never forget when I saw a Dodge Neon (Non-SRT) with fart pipes pull up next to a similar Honda Civic . . . both cars looked like crap and they were revving their engines at each other. I was walking by and yelled "CRIPPLE FIGHT!!!!!" at them - thought it was hilarious . . . glad I didn't get shot.

back when i had a 95 v6 camaro i had this old nissan sentra try and race me. granted i know the 95 v6 camaro wasnt much on power but a freaking sentra? lol he was on my bumper then got in the lane next to me and was reving and surging forward to just slow back down even with me. needless to say at the light i had enough and gunned it from the light just up to speedlimit (which was 45 there) and he stopped after that LOL.

Easy. I can justify posting on many different guitar forum because I can fit 50 or so in my house. Unfortunately I don't have the same luxury with cars so yeah right now I have a Mustang but I love the ZL1 and 1LE, Bimmers, Challengers, Porsches, Astons, Morgans, Lotus and several other cars in which forums I participate even as I am driving another at the moment.

Rated at 272 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, Cadillac's turbo mill is rated for more power than the engines found in its German competition. Of course, once you take this engine to a chassis dyno known for vaporizing GM fairy dust as we did, the output of the ATS engine looks identical to that of a BMW engine rated for 32 fewer ponies.

I actually looked at joining a mustang forum for this very reason. There are several to choose from and I wasn't sure which was best. Any recommendations?
