Weird but when you pull that tube off it's as hot inside as out. A more accurate way to test IAT's would be to do so at the TB or in the intake itself. I didn't realize people didn't know that the IAT sensor is in the same housing at the MAF. Too far down the pipe and it's really only getting temps that are entering the filter no wonder they are near ambient.

Correct, when sitting it would be, when airflow is moving through and the car is in motion its an entirely different thing. Obviously keeping things cool in a naturally hot environment can be difficult and does not always work in every condition, but a lot of testing has shown that our product does really well with performance gains which much can be contributed to our insulated design. Is it 100% heat proof, of course not, but every little bit helps!

I just installled the CAI today and the clamps are a PITA, I had to losen them to the point of disengagement and then really put my weight behind it to get it over the TB.

I barely loosened mine when I put it on earlier tonight. Had zero problems.

Clamps are about a 1/4 to 1/2 too small. They are really tight and if you loosen them a coupe turns they come apart. It is not fun putting them back together and getting the threads to grab. I got it but wow...

Great product though!

Guys, the clamps should fit perfect. Although I have never heard of it happening before, it is definitely a possibility that a few systems got sent out with the incorrect clamp size. If you have or have had an issue with the clamps you need to contact us directly to let us know about it, we could then send you the correct clamps and fix the issue. Also that will allow our quality manager to document the issue, investigate it further, and be proactive with the plant to ensure it's not happening with other orders. Although I am on Camaro5 a lot, it is impossible for us to read every single post about our product here, if you had an issue with our product you need to contact us directly about it so it can be fixed. If anyone recieved the incorrect clamps it is unacceptable, but we can not help you if you don't contact us about it.

Anyone who has had an issue with the clamps being the wrong size PLEASE EMAIL swhite@coldairinductions.com She is our Qualtiy Manager and needs to know about it!!!!
