to tell you the truth.. idk.. i hope im not offending anyone here or on Fbody.. but it sound like to me that club is a bit hardcore... maybe thats not the word im looking for.. but the reason with the idea of starting this club is so we can all get together and have fun. the car show idea is awesome but its really not what i had in mind its just another bonus thing.
if you guys didnt know i also have a camaro club back at home (indiana) with 140+ members. we tend to get together alot and just enjoy each others company and talk about whats we are going to do next on our cars.
liked i said im not here to offend anyone, its just my opinion.
also i guess meeting up with the people in in Fbody might change my mind but just base off of what i read, i might be reading it in a different tone.

I guess we are a bit hard core and old school. No offense taken. Like I said whatever your ideas and outcomes are the camaro owners community in Delaware could benefit greatly. I guess overall we were offering our already established club to you all to use to save time and legwork. Perhaps the idea of sister clubs is the way to go. I totally am not trying to alienate anyone. I love cars and car people. I have several cars all makes and models. I just feel that sometimes people loose sight of the real reason to have a car club - to help the hobby and connect with enthusiasts of all types.

Let me have it, please. Seriously it may make it easier on us all if we know where people stand. I will not be offended. It is just a car club, I have a lot bigger things to worry over. If you want us out of the picture just say so. Silverhawk was the one who brought the info to us. I think I was clear on the intentions and honest about feelings.

i totally agree with you on this. my point of view on this to make new friends and share ideas really. car show isnt that huge on me.. i mean starting one wise. i think it would be fun to all just get together and go to a car show sometimes.
im not the type of person to judge someone by their cover, by saying that im not trying to push you away or in any kind of way.
to tell you the truth i would actually like to meet you guys and see what you guys do in your club.
i know people sometimes tend to read it in a different tone of voice.
do you get me?

Well our club is small, a few hardcore guys. We like to BS about cars and spend too much money on them. We do like to mod them and make them fast. We like all cars and just happen to own f-bodies. Hell I just took a sawzall to the roof of my car.. LOL, but I also have restored a few Mopars and have a 56 chevy in my shop to resto. We like helping with other peoples projects and give insight, advice, and learn form others. We have a lot of years experience among us. We are trying hard at a revival and yes putting on a show of our own was a big priority to us back in the day. We used to fill large parts of other shows and had pretty decent meets of our own. I understand about the tone thing. I HATE texting/forums because so much can be mis interpreted. I am nto saying we are the best, far from it. We have had our ups and downs. I just think as a whole the car enthiusast community (all makes, all models) needs to chill with the open animosity somtimes. I blame some of that on the web based stuff, e-thugs are rampant at some sites. I would love to see all of the Delaware people with nice cars get together without drama and keep this hobby alive. I am rambling now, maybe cause I see some similar sentiments here. Thanks for not banning me yet and for taking up bandwidth.. LOL

I would step in an contribute to the discussion but i am leaving DE soon. But honestly, i think sister club would be the best choice. We actually still trying to get the whole club idea together. Nothing wrong with being part of both clubs i would say. Bottom line is that is all about meeting cool peeps to talk about cars and that love to spend time and sweat on them. It is about cars. So lets all enjoy the saturday show, which i cant make errrrr, and if you guys from the f body camaro club can make it, you will be certainly welcomed.

Thanks for coming over Jay...don't worry no one in this discussion has admin rights to ban anyone LOL. Just like FBody we don't discriminate because of the type of car...just ask 880 with his Cobra Mustang ha ha

We just need some good discussion and it helps to hear from someone else from FBody other than the ones that are already on here.

Obviously, I have no problem with getting everyone to join FBody as a formal club for DE...... FBody has members in the surrounding states as well including MD, NJ, and I think PA if I am not mistaken.
I will say on the other hand that there isn't really anything wrong with having both a formal club FBody and a group of united DE Camaro5 members too. Afterall, I don't think anyone is going to be leaving either forum.

And as other have said...its all about getting together and having fun with these machines. we can only benefit from one another...especially some of the older school guys who have done projects on their cars or built them from the ground up like JimW

Yeah right!!!!! even in the 6 miles I drove over to the last meetup I got bug coated.
If you need to freshen her up...you can always come down to my house and do a wash down..... My outside hose is hooked to my irrigation well...so free water for car washes!!!! ha ha Can't do it for everyone obviously but if you want to you are welcome...like it says above its only 6 miles.

I agree 100%. The only reason we at FSFBA spoke up was to help IF you all decide to make a stand alone club and needed a place to get started. I think a collaboration at this point is the way yo go. Kind of FSFBA/DECamaro5 joint venture if you follow. I hope I can make it Saturday for a little bit. Freaking projects at home are pileing up and I was away all last weekend at Carlisle GM nats.

Sweet bro... let me know when u get that bumper. Wanna see the car. So are u gonna sell the SS bumper to me or what??? Will u get the other bumper before i leave???
also pretty soon well be able to do the painting projects for ur car. Get the paints you gonna use. I recommend automotive touchup.com for the paint. Get summit white and inferno orange metallic if you want to use those two color. Adhesion promoter can be bought at Auto.otive advaced parts. Get the primer and clear coat from automotivetouchup.com too.

I might want to get up with you for a plasti dip session on my front bumper....just feel this may be the best way to get my lower bumper covered in black.
